"Go back to Japan?", [name] asked a bit surprised. The young lady had taken off her labcoat and hung it on her chair's backrest. She sat down and faced her father, waiting for answers.

The silver haired man beamed a smile at his daughter and nodded. "That's right. But I'm afraid you have to head on first without us"

"I see...", for some reason [name]'s chest felt tight and her heart began pounding uncontrollably. There was a mix of anticipation, fear and longing that lingered in the depths of her body.

"I've already arranged everything for you. Apartment included", there was an amused smile on his father's face. Just like with Eraser, he could read [name]'s thoughts so clearly.

You really miss him, don't you?

"Well that's everything", a certain young man sighed, sprawling onto the floor from fatigue. "How many stuff do you even have?"

"As many as your room can fit", the female teasingly replied as she brought over snacks they could enjoy. "Most of my stuff are mementos from way back. They're important to me"

There was a nostalgic look on [name]'s face as she looked over some old clothes that were neatly placed inside a wooden trunk. Shinsou didn't say nor ask anymore as he looked at his companion. There was still a lot more he didn't know about the woman before him but he didn't want to rush.

"Don't forget about the mini reunion next week, 'kay Shorty~?", the young man teased as he bid farewell to [name].

"Yeah, yeah! I won't miss it for the world", the young lady waved as she sought off her companion.

Next week, huh?

This is bad! This is bad!, [name] internally screamed as she scurried off to the grill house. The taxi she took had to take a longer route because an accident suddenly occurred in the streets. She ran as fast as she could and when the grill house was in sight, she slammed the door open and immediately apologized.

[name] tried to catch her breath as she scanned the entire room. As expected, everyone was there. But when she couldn't find him at first glance, her heart sunk. She wanted to get inside as soon as possible to make sure but she was surrounded by her friends. She didn't want to be rude but there was no denying that he was top priority.

All of a sudden Shinsou appeared in front of the young lady. There was a bit of misunderstanding of their personal relationship but she was too glad to see them all again to make a fuss over it. When the young man had offered her to sit with him, her heart leaped. He was there. He was sitting right there. He was still the same like she had remembered.

The young lady went ahead and greeted her former guardian and she was very delighted when he responded back. Although he was right beside her, he felt so distant. [name] kept glancing his way even though she was conversing with the others. And when Aizawa walked out, an empty feeling came over her.

Maybe she had been too hopeful. Despite losing all contact with the man, she had never felt anger towards him. She continued to convince herself that he was busy fulfilling his responsibilities or some other probable reason. There was no bone in her body that could ever feel resent towards the very man who helped her change her life.

With her min too preoccupied, her hand reached out for a drink without even looking. She finished her drink in just a few gulps and that was when she felt the room get blurry.

Aizawa... san...

A full day had passed when [name] finally woke up. Her head ached immensely making her feel like the room was spinning from where she laid. By that time, Aizawa was already out of sight. The pro took his leave the moment Shinsou came. All he said was that he still had a lot of work to do and wouldn't be back till past midnight.

Shinsou had told everything that had transgressed within the entire time she was unconscious. The young lady was also surprised when she found out that she and Aizawa were actually neighbours. She wanted to get up but her vision gets goes hazy when she does.

"Just get some more rest and don't do anything reckless. Everything you'll need is on the table. Got it, shorty?"

[name] responded with a pout and just chose to not argue back. She gave a salute to Shinsou as the young man exited and locked the door behind him, also saluting back. [name] fell back on her bed with a thud and just stared onto the ceiling.

With her headache gradually fading, her strength had also gradually increased. Since she had been sleeping for an entire day, there was no way she'd feel sleepy at the moment. Her attention had then been redirected towards the bright night light that shone through her window curtains.

[name] grabbed her blanket and wrapped it around her. Somehow she wanted to just sleep again but her wake mind wouldn't let her. She got her phone and found several messages from her friends. All of it had asked if she was okay and how was she doing. But among all those messages there was one specific message that got her attention.

There was an attached file from one of Ashido's messages and when she opened it, there was a photo. It was a photo of her former guardian carrying her on his back. [name] didn't know if she was going to be flattered or ashamed of how she looked.

Her eyes were locked on the photo when door unlocked. From a relaxed state, [name] switched onto defense mode. She turned off her phone and the only light visible at the moment was what came from outside. The young lady stayed silently as she observed the sounds of an unknown person's footsteps.

When [name] felt that the person was close enough, she jumped out of her bed and lunged forward. But because of her sobered state, her foot got caught and tumbled towards the person instead. She tried to straddle the person instead but both her hands got caught.

"[name], it's me!"
