"Shit!"
The pro immediately moved over to [name]'s side. Based on her flushed appearance, she was definitely intoxicated. He examined the glass placed right near where the female sat and he concluded that it was the liquor he was drinking half an hour ago. Shinsou also rushed to their side looking very worried.
"It seems she mistook my drink as her's. Now she's passed out and is drunk"
All Might came rushing as well and offered to call over Tsukauchi for a lift but Shinsou declined an just told that [name]'s apartment wasn't that far away and they could just take a taxi over there. Having his student know details about [name] that he did not bothered Aizawa but he was too 'mature' to let it get to him so much.
The black haired male had his pupil help with getting her outside and onto the taxi that All Might had called. Even though the blonde male's first offer was declined, it wouldn't let it stop him from giving his former co-teacher a hand. The three had took their leave and insisted that the rest of their companions continue on with the reunion without them.
Shinsou sat shotgun so he could lead the driver to their destination while Aizawa sat at the back with [name]'s head laid on his lap. Her face didn't show any sign of waking nor sobering up. Both males assumed she was dead drunk considering that the drink the pro ordered was much stronger than the regular drinks that everyone else ordered. He managed to avoid the question on why he ordered such a drink because he wasn't going to admit that seeing her again greatly affected him and that he was trying to get an excuse to leave early if he got drunk early.
Yes, right at that moment, Aizawa was somewhat lightheaded but he forced himself to help out. He found himself staring off into space as his hand brushed the loose locks that lay on her face. Little did he notice that the car had just pulled up in front of the said apartment and it was time to get out.
"Sensei, you okay?", the young man peered through his mentor's side of the window to catch his attention.
"Y-yeah I'm fine. Let's go and--", Aizawa's next words were put on hold when he realized where exactly they were.
Right at that moment, they stood at the doorstep of the pro's apartment building. He knew that someone from abroad had moved in but he wasn't so hopeful as to expect that that person was actually [name]. The younger male had gotten her keys and proceeded inside the room. The interior of her room mimicked his but the only difference was the amount and kind of belongings she had.
The night was deep and it was impossible to just leave [name] alone and drunk in her apartment. For starters, it may have been her first time drinking liquor and it would be difficult for her body to reorient itself back to its normal sense. Someone had to stay and assist her when she wakes up.
Aizawa could have easily volunteered for the job but he was reluctant to do so. Despite being the student of Eraser, Shinsou had no idea about his and [name]'s past connection. Their entire relationship and her past was absolutely confidential and only a few pros and the original batch of Class1A from 5 years ago knew. Anyone outside of that circle was left in the dark.
"I'll... stay..." The pro scratched his nape, thinking of what to say next. Shinsou raised a brow in response. All Aizawa explained was that he happened to live in the same complex and just found out now. And considering that Shinsou's place was a but far, he could just leave the night watching duty to his mentor.
Being that the young man trusted the words of Aizawa, he agreed and saw no harm in his proposition. Shinsou had first aided to all the things that his mentor could ever possibly need since he was the one who helped [name] unpacked when she first moved in. Although the thought of them not bumping into each other in such a place was quite remarkable to say the least.
"I'll be back by tomorrow noon. If you need anything else just call me"
Aizawa locked the door to [name]'s apartment and went back to her room only to see her lying in a different position. Her body laid on its side while a hand dangled off the edge of the bed, mumbling things in her sleep. Her scent reeked of alcohol and she had to get cleaned up somehow. Aizawa grabbed a large bowl then filled it up with water and proceeded to clean her up with a towel.
Every stroke on her skin made him realize that [name] really had grown up. The man's thoughts were pure at first and only after did he remember the first time [name] stayed with him. Then there was also that time in the hot springs. He pushed all those thoughts aside and quickly changed her clothes.
He sat on the floor and leaned sideways, staring at the sleeping young lady before him. His head laid on his arm which rested on the mattress. His large palm found comfort on her smooth cheek as his thumb gently rubbed her skin.
In his mind he wondered how she had been for the past few years. What was it like living with a new family? Did she cope well with others? How many friends she made? What places had she seen abroad? And most importantly... was there still a place for him in her new life?
Could it be that you feel guilty?
All of a sudden, Toshinori's words came to mind. He made his choice to let go so that [name] could move on from her past. He made his choice so that she'd be who she is today. Why would he feel guilty if he had achieved what he wanted for her?
He moved his hand away, the warmth of her skin still lingering. He had to get his mind clear and stop thinking so much. There was no time for him to waver nor regret. He had already said his goodbyes and it was best to leave it like that.
