We landed on the outside of the dome and I saw that my teammates were already throwing down. Robot metal was flying everywhere and even the civilians were doing some damage. You pointed up to Delta's tower of destruction. "I need to get up there!" You told Deadpool.
"Good luck!" The masked man said with a thumbs up and two pats on the back. You wanted to question but before you could, you felt two strong hands grab your shoulders. You screamed as the ground got further and further away from you. "Relax, Y/N. I've got you." Teddy's voice said. You looked up to see him in his green monster form.
On the ground below, you saw Tommy running through the city and up the side of the building. When Teddy set you down at the very top of the building, he crashed down behind you in a heroic way. Will appeared from a portal, America came down through the roof and Tommy slid himself and Kate to a stop. Everyone stood in a line and readied their powers the moment you laid your eyes on Delta.
You all looked extremely heroic and you could feel the confidence pulsing through your veins. Just as you were about to attack, Delta held out and hand and a powerful energy flew from her and caused you to go blind. You fell to your knees and began to rub your throbbing eyes.
When you could see you looked up to see all of your teammates missing and Delta towering above you. You jumped away from her before speaking. "What did you do to them?" Delta chuckled before clutching the device hanging from her neck. "You never truly reached the full potential of your abilities Y/N. With this energy, I can do more things than you could even begin to imagine."
You grabbed a random pipe that was laying on the floor and swung at Delta but before you could make contact, Delta used her energy to vaporize the metal. You screamed before jumping to your feet and backing away from her. "Not only can I return people to their proper Earth, I can also materialize and dematerialize any piece of matter." Delta said, throwing a beam in your direction.
You just barely dodged it and were being backed into a corner. "Plus, I can also serve as a battery, I'm powering all of those robots and I'm working on charging the big one up!" She exclaimed, pure joy on her face as she threw another beam at you.
"Why are you telling me all of this? I pretty much know how to stop you now." You said, making an x with your arms to make a shield spring out of your suit. The next beam bounced off of your shield and almost hit Delta. "I don't have a choice, my author wrote me as a character who monologues every time something important happens." She answered, shooting an electric surge that broke the shield mechanism in your suit.
Delta wrapped her hand around your neck and slammed you into the wall. "Your team can't save you now." The blue haired woman hissed, raw electricity surging in her eyes. "Maybe not... But I can." A familiar voice yelled.
You looked past Delta to see a silhouette of Deadpool standing on the edge of the room. The moonlight was shinning behind him and cast a shadow in a very dramatic way. He had two guns in his hands and a cowboy hat atop his masked head. "What took you so long?" You wheezed as Delta loosened her grip.
"Well A, I cannot fly so I went to take the elevator but there were a bunch of robots using it so I had to take the stairs and 7 I couldn't find a costume shop anywhere! It's like they don't exist in New York!" The red and black man explained. Delta rolled her eyes before shooting Deadpool with a blast of energy.
When the light disappeared the only thing that was left of him was his cowboy hat. Before Delta had a chance to tighten her grip, you ripped the necklace off and smashed it on the floor. As the energy swirled through the air, you kicked Delta nearly all the way across the room and let the energy soak back into your skin.
You stepped out of the cloud of light with energy literally pulsing through your blood. Your eyes were white and you leapt into the air in slow motion. Your body twirled through the air like a not so graceful ballerina before you landed on the ground right in front of Delta. "I C A S T Y O U O U T!!" You yelled in a really low voice because you were still in slow motion. Your right hand was flung out in Delta's direction and sent a very much electrified blast right into her.
Once you had gotten rid of her you pushed that same electric blast into the giant robot and out into the city below. Very slowly, because it was still in slow motion, New York was restored to it's original form. The sky was cleared off all grey clouds and the grass was a vibrant green. It looked better than when you had left it.
The slow motion faded and you let the energy inside of you die down. You were now standing on top of one of the tallest buildings in the world, overlooking one of the biggest cities in the world. You let out a sigh before shaking out your jitters. "Here goes nothing!!" You shouted, leaping off the top of the building like a dove.
You readied yourself as the ground got closer. "Super hero landing!!!" As you yelled those words, you used your new found power to brace your fall and create a small circle of cracked cement around you. You walked down the street with a smile, quickly waving to the people around you who were cheering before continuing to look for a specific face.
When you spotted Kyle you sprinted over to him and grabbed him by the arms. "I need you to drive me down to the beach!"
