Outside the bathroom door, his foot steps sounded letting me know he was heading for the front door.

I glanced at the mirror momentarily thinking I'm totally going to regret this. I'm absolutely going to regret this.

Heading out the door, I watched as he kept his hand over the knob "I think you're unimaginably handsome and it brings these stupid butterflies to my chest and puts my heart in my throat." I said rushed as I watched him stand there frozen and staring at the floor.

Taking a few more steps, I leaned into the wall "I care about you Michael, more than I'd like to admit. So if you walk out my door, walk out knowing that you matter greatly to me." I admitted, maybe it's because I know I've almost died four times and each time he was there for me.

Michaels been there for me for everything, he knows me, and I mean really knows me. Not only the parts I show but the parts of myself I keep hidden.

He accepts me, even if he wants to kill me in a few months or years. We can't all be perfect right?

"You've grown on me, maybe it's from hearing your voice every day for the last six months, or having you save my life too many times for me to count. I care about you." I said watching him look over at me and give me the slightest smile.

He turned around and walked over, "Atika, the witch for the Nysrough family told me you'd fall in love with me and it would be your weakness. That I could charm you and get you to lower your guard to love me." He said leaning his back into the opposite wall.

His eyes dropped to the floor and he rubbed his jaw "She never told me you'd be my weakness though." He nodded to himself and then looked up at me "I'll admit, I tried to win you over. Flirt with you a bit, then I got to know you. You're not like they describe you Ace, nothing like what they say." He said shaking his head and then running a hand down my arm before pulling the door open.

Michael turned around and looked to the rose on the table "It's Eric, he's the one who wants you dead Anne." He said before walking out the dorm and shutting the door behind him.

My mind tried to wrap itself around the last two minutes, and then it stuck, Eric? Eric Nysrough? Like Jameson and Koda's father Eric?

There's no way that's possible, that would mean he's either with Israfel, or he's a rebel.

But, I've never hurt Eric, I've always been so good to him and his son. What the hell?

Pulling on some sweats, I slid on some shoes and headed to Jolene's office as quick as I could.

Giving her door a knock, I waited patiently, and then heard her say "Come in." Before I pushed the doors open and shut them behind me hurrying to her.

I stood at her desk staring into her eyes "Do you know if Eric Nysrough has ever shown any suspicious signs or seemed off by any chance? I mean he's a Nysrough so why did you ever let him in?" I asked her watching her look behind me and cock an eyebrow at whoever was there.

Turning around, I looked to Thomas who was looking at me bewildered "Eric Nysrough has proved himself time and time that he is trustworthy, we don't believe we have any reason to doubt his faith in Vladimir or Nyx. Why?" He asked.

I moved and sat down in the chair beside him "I know this will sound insane, but after almost dying four times, I've realized this can't be a coincidence! I've gone the last eighteen years never having a moment even close to the last six months here. Somethings up." I said looking between the two.

Jolene cocked an eyebrow "Why are you all cut up?" She asked.

I looked taken back and stared between her and Thomas, "I got pushed out of the window outside your office this morning. Landed in a damn rose bush and got impaled with a branch." I said lifting my shirt and gesturing to the gauze on my stomach.
