Word flew around the school quick about how my room was apparently struck by lightning in the storm. The door was locked and meant to stay shut for safe keeping.
By safe keeping they just mean avoiding any possible way of people finding out the truth.
It's been weeks since the incident and honestly the gossip didn't die down a bit. Sabrina and the kid got expelled. Finally. Michael was in shock to find out that his dad paid a visit. Actually more than in shock, more like confused, enraged and every possible negative emotion possible. In return, he demanded I train with him more.
It was Tuesday, and we only had two more weeks before we moved on up to sophomores. I wasn't as excited as everyone else especially since my grades were all Cs.
That's what happens when you're too busy almost dying and saving the world.
I did another pull up, counting that as my ninety-eighth. I really hate these things. Mostly because the last time I did a pull up I was hanging from an old beam high off the ground.
"Come on Ace." Michael said from behind watching with a keen eye.
My arms where practically going to explode, but I gave him another one.
Ninety freaken nine.
Eyeing him in annoyance, I pulled up one last time, his hand giving my thigh a small push to help me up "One hundred!" I said dropping to my feet and laying on the ground.
Michael knelt down looking to my face "Anne if he's coming for you, he'll try to be the one who kills you, he'll want to awaken Israfel. If he does he'll be more powerful than he ever was." He said speaking low.
I nodded "Just make sure when you kill me and become super powerful, that you leave the clan out of it. And my parents. And Jolene. And Thomas." I said laughing watching his eyes move across my face "And Bronx?" He asked.
Smiling I nodded "Yes, and Bronx." I watched his eyebrows begin to knot into focus.
He held his hand out and helped me up to my feet, I stood inches from him now, looking up to his lips.
His eyes stayed on mine for a while, just lost in my features, I smiled and leaned into him "Sometimes I think you care too much to fulfill your prophecy." I said moving my eyes to his lips.
Almost as if he hadn't spoken, he said "Me too." Before he let go and turned gesturing to the mat "One hundred crunches." He said closing up his emotions.
Walking over I laid down and bit back my smile, I think Michaels in love....
"You know, we've been at this for a while." I commented while doing one of my crunches.
He cocked an eyebrow staring down at me "At what?" He asked almost oblivious to the bomb I was about to drop on his head.
I did five more before I laid down and looked up at him "This cat and mouse game. Listen Michael, you like me." I said blankly.
He eyed me with furrowed brows almost angry, or frustrated. I can't tell with him, his facial expressions tend to blend with his good looks.
"I like you." I said shrugging "We should go on a date." I added doing three more crunches and then propping myself back on my elbows.
Michael held the slightest smirk "You want to go on a date? No, no." He laughed.
I smirked "What? Afraid you'll fall in love?" I batted my lashes and he leaned down tilting my chin "Terrified." He said stern before standing back up and crossing his arms over his chest "Come on, 91 left." He said changing the topic.
