Jumping out of my seat, I looked to Abe and the guys who eyed me worried, "I need to find Lincoln." I said softly while looking around and catching a glance of him with Eva.
I made my way over to him and kneeled down between him and Vesper. "Lincoln" I said tugging his sleeve.
He looked down at me "hey, you okay?" He asked.
I nodded "Listen, Lincoln, two years ago you said you wanted to get an x tattoo, why? Why did you say that?" I asked looking over at him realizing I probably looked and sounded like I smoked crack.
Lincoln shut his eyes thinking before opening his eyes "Uh-it was a dream Anne. I'm sorry I don't remember the full jist of it. Why? Are you okay Anne?" He asked worried. Eva leaned toward me feeling my forehead and Vesper handed me his glass of water. I took a drink to get them off my case.
"I'm fine I just, I thought about it and I was just wondering. Lincoln, Have you been having any dreams about me lately?" I asked watching him laugh "You're drunk Anne. Come, sit." He said gesturing for Eva to grab me a chair.
I shook my head "No, enjoy your dinner. I'm sorry it can wait. But uh-Lincoln if you do have any more dreams of me, please tell me. It's important." I said before standing.
He took my hand gently "You sure you're okay?" He asked.
I nodded, "Yeah I'm sure. I think I just need some fresh air." I said going to the door and heading out the banquet hall.
The world began to spin softly, and then there he was again, I watched him get in a car and begin driving.
Shaking my head I headed down the hall brushing and knocking into students before I spotted the exit and headed out the double doors to the front. The world began spinning a bit faster, I don't think I'm okay.
I moved to the garden and kept walking until I reached the back gate of the academy. It was guarded by at least twenty men, all heavily armed.
Breathe Anne, breathe...
The crow gave a small call, and I looked over at it feeling dizzy. Following it further into the garden it led me to a beautiful iron gate, it had a lock on it and a bench beside it.
I sat down on the bench feeling my head spin around in circles.
'Anne...' Michaels voice seemed edged before I let out a small cry "Michael..." He was the only one I thought of calling as I felt my heart beat go slower and slower.
Oh my god...am I dying?
"Michael" I called more worried, "something's wrong." I said shaking my head.
'I don't know how he found you. I'm coming.'
Who?
Oh fuck.
Spots began to fill my sight and I pushed open the gate following the crow as it urged me out the gate. Realizing I was now out of the academy and going straight into the forests, I panicked deeper.
The crow began flying a bit further, and I followed it, until my body gave in and I found myself collapsing to the floor.
I just wanted to sleep, for a long time.
Sleep wanting to take over my body, my eyes shut as I felt too weak to open them, "Stay awake Anne." I mumbled, "Stay awake Anne." I repeated softly.
"Stay awake, Ace." Michaels voice came before I was lifted off the ground, "Don't fall asleep Annalise." He said.
The world dizzying around me.
Then it took over.
