As demanded by Jolene, I mean Head Mistress Valencia, I was to help with the ballroom today.
After finishing up my classes, I headed to the Ball room, sighed and walked in.
Levi eyed me "Welcome back Anne, listen take these and sprinkle them on the tables. I want it to look like it belongs not like it was just tossed!" He shouted the last part as if he was yelling at someone.
I laughed and took the bag, "You got it Levi." I stated taking handfuls and carefully sprinkling them over the tables.
I'd been doing about two hours worth of stupid shit, mostly because Levi didn't trust me with the big things. I don't know why, everything he made me do I did great at.
"Looser! I didn't say I wanted it to be flush with the damn beam!" Levi shouted behind me and without even looking I can already say he's shouting at Rhye.
Turning I glanced and smirked at the horrified Rhye.
He was up on the fifty foot extension ladder with his face sweating. Poor guys practically sweating a storm.
"Why would you send him? He's going to sweat and fall off." I said gesturing to Rhye who was practically crying fifty feet up.
I sighed "You got another ladder? I'll go up and help him." I said.
Levi shook his head "This is our only one. You want to go up?" He asked.
I shrugged "I'm sure I can dangle the lights like you want, I'm sure you want it what a foot low?" I asked him watching him eye me and then shout up to Rhye "Get your ass down here! You failed me! Miserably!" He shouted the last part separately and I thought it was comical.
As Rhye came down, I looked to him smiling "You're fine go take a break." I said watching him nod and head off.
Looking up the ladder I began climbing and realized these ceilings are ridiculously high. I mean what douchebag said 'I want the walls to be fifty feet high!' Oh Vladimir, that's right.
I made it to the top five steps, moving the lights and pinning them to the right spots.
"That's perfect Anne! Come on down!" Levi shouted.
I smiled and went to let go of the beam but a commotion beneath me caught my attention. I watched the two shove each other, the guys fighting before one knocked the other right into the fucking ladder.
Feeling my eyes widen, I shouted "No!" But held the wood beam tightly as the ladder slipped from under me "Move!" I shouted to everyone beneath me and as the ladder collapsed it fucking broke in half!
"Oh fucking fuck." I said holding on and looking up at the ceiling.
"Anne!" Levi shouted like a mother who'd just seen her child walk into a pool before learning to swim. Absolutely petrified.
That was followed by a couple more screams. Great cause that helps, "Stop screaming! You're making me nervous!" I shouted holding on tight.
A small crack caught my attention and I eyed the beam "Levi?!" I shouted.
"Yeah Anne?!" He asked shouting back frantically.
I looked down and over at him "How old are these beams?!" I asked trying to stay calm and composed. After all if I freak out they'll freak out and then I'll probably freak some more and eventually I'll fall and die. Straight to my death.
"They're authentic Anne...." he shouted up at me.
Oh god, authentic? Like they're authentic this year? Of course not Anne! Authentic like hundreds of years old!
