"Let's go! Get those bars up!" Thomas began shouting to the older guards.

As soon as I arrived I had to make sure everyone was ready to fight. A war was coming and there is no avoiding it.

Many of the students who refused to fight, or were too scared had left for their homes. Well, Vangsvere is my castle, my home, and I'll fight for it.

That, and this is practically my war.

We had a full academy though, many people had flown in to help. Dad and mom both stayed and Dad stuck by his brother Thomas. Mom stayed beside her brothers Abe and Erebus (Vlads father, surprising he's not a jackass like his son).

I was all over the place though. All I knew, was that I wasn't going to let him win.

"Annalise!" Jolene called out to me from her office, as I handed the screws to Levi beside me, I hurried over to her.

Heading inside, she took me to her office within the office and I eyed the many antiques along the wall before she gestured to the armor by the book shelf. "You'll be wearing your moms armor for tonight. I know that's what she would've wanted." She said smiling with a bit of sorrow.

I walked over to it carefully reaching a hand out and running it over the black metal.

"This was hers." It was more of a thought, a fact, but it came out as a question from my lips.

Jolene began stripping down and pulling on her own armor, she strapped the arrows over her body and held the bow. "If we don't make it out of this, I want you to make sure that this academy never falls in Israfels hands. Sven, Vladimir And Nyx have fought their lives to keep it from going into his hands." She stated looking to the paintings on the wall.

There's a lot of secrets about this Academy, well Vlad Vangsveres Castle. Many secrets that could destroy the world.

A painting of four grown vampires hung on the wall, the first was a man with stern eyes and dark hair that was long, but his brows showed he was manly. Vladimir Vangsvere.

The second painting, a man with dark hair that was curly and piercing green eyes, he had the smallest smirk on. Sven Vangsvere.

The third painting was breath taking, the woman had light brown hair it pooled down her back, she was pale but shined. The painting made her look like an angel, that was Nyx.

The last though, a gorgeous red head with big eyes and lips to match. She was striking, made you fear her and yet cling to her beauty. "Is that..." I think I've read about her.

"Aradia Elidoro. The famous descendant, she was not only Vladimir's love, but his protector. She died for him, the night of the battle, and managed to kill Elvira Draconia before." Jolene said smiling widely at Aradia.

Elvira, that's Evangeline's descendant, she was Israfels Protector and secret affair. I remember Abigale telling me about that when Lily and I where young.

"How many wars have been fought since then? How many more will we have?" I asked pondering the thought of an endless war.

Jolene eyed me cautiously "Careful Anne, darling they do not wish to coexist. They never have and never will." She shook her head to the thought.

One day, hopefully.

Pulling on my moms armor, I felt a small gasp slip from my lips in surprise, it fit perfect.

"I wish I had met her." I said calmly.

Jolene smiled softly, "I do too, you would've made her so proud. She knew that you'd be special. She dreamt of Nyx the night before she found out she was pregnant with you." She cocked an eyebrow at me.
