It's been a week since my incident and after that awkward confession to Michael, he's been keeping his distance and I've been happy for that. I guess Levi took him in, because the two where now room mates and I think it's perfect. They're both antisocial, bossy, rude at times and yet they secretly care deeply.

I was banned from ladders, but that didn't stop me from helping to decorate the ball room for the Christmas Ball.

Honestly I was so thrilled, it seemed like the happiest time of the year was finally here! Everyone was getting their gowns sent in and I had ordered mine online, and it's actually supposed to come in today.

A lot of people invited their families to come and celebrate at the ball, Lily and I agreed to tell mom and dad last minute, that way they don't show up early and make us babysit them. It happens.

I finished my classes eager to get going and in combat I kicked Koda's ass twice, and happily. We still weren't talking so it was a bit quiet and aggressive.

I was just ready to go enjoy my night.

Lincoln asked Eva, and Leandro asked Lily and well I was all by my lonesome.

After the rumor about me being a blood whore went out, not many guys wanted to be associated with me. Just goes to show that vampires care a lot about their status.

"Add more silver ornaments." Levi said eyeing my decorated Christmas tree.

I nodded and began pulling more from the box.

After finishing up all the last of the ornaments I went to see Levi about tables and saw him sitting completely frustrated.

"Problem there?" I asked.

He sighed "Angela got some stupid tonsillitis or something. She can't sing." He shook his head.

Oh, okay...

"Well I finished the tree." His eyes lingered on me for a while "Do you sing?" He asked

Laughing, I shook my head "No not at all."

His eyes moved down to my lips "Sing." He demanded.

Oh god, this guy, "I'm telling you I don't sin-"

"Sing Anne!" He shouted.

Geez!

"Um, jingle bell jingle bell, jingle bell rock." I began and watched him eye me as I continued singing.

He eyed me "You're not trying but I can hear it, in your voice. You've got a very sexual, womanly voice. Don't get ideas Anne I don't like you that way." He said writing down something on a paper "She was scheduled to sing three songs. Go get yourself practicing. Make sure you do old music, this is a ball." He said eyeing me and handing the paper to me.

Three minutes, four minutes and another three minutes, "Length of songs?" I asked and he nodded. "Go, get out of here." He waved me off and I headed out the ball room nervous.

I headed up to my room singing oldies for a solid two hours, actually trying since I mean if I didn't I'd look like a joke up there. Who the hell just forces someone to sing?

So far the only one I thought fit was Bye Bye Blackbird.

A knock came to the door and I headed over opening it and then looking to Lincoln smiling before remembering a song and hurrying to the laptop typing it in and singing it. "Too fast." I sighed.

"What's going on here?" Lincoln asked looking me and the laptop over.

I yawned "I'm supposed to sing for the ball, three songs but so far all I have is Bye Bye Blackbird."

Lincoln furrowed his eyebrows "Why not Sweet Thing?" He asked.

I laughed "You expect me to his those notes?" I shook my head "Think Jazz." I said eyeing the laptop.

He shrugged "So slow and steady? Why not You're So Vain?" He asked.

Smirking I shook my head "Levi will kick my ass for singing a song with that mood. But even that's a bit too up beat." I said taking a seat in the chair staring hopelessly at the screen.

We both stared for a while before he smiled "Norah Jones Anne. She may not be an oldie but I'm sure you can find a song Levi would like." He began typing and then stopped at a song pressing play and waiting.

The song December played out and I sang along feeling like it might work. A bit fast beat though.

I shook my head "No, I think I'll just listen to some Jazz and then find it." I said turning to him "What's up though?" I asked.

He shook his head "I was wondering if you where okay." Everyone lately wonders that.

I nodded "I'm honestly okay, happy even. Christmas is here!" I said happily.

Lincoln laughed "Yeah and your gifts just came in last night. I haven't wrapped them yet." He winked and I felt my face light up. I'd boughten them all gifts too, online shopping is life.

I managed to find gifts for my parents, Eva and Lily, Lincoln, Leandro, Jameson, (nothing for his stupid girlfriend), Abe, Bronx, Jolene and Michael.

They've been arriving non stop.

He smiled "Can't wait to see you sing up there, you'll kill it." He said giving me a wink and heading out the door.

I really hope I do.

It took me the rest of the day to try and find the right song, and I finished wrapping some of the gifts while singing to a bunch of soft music.

Outside my door, the small sound of a song playing caught my attention. Jumping off the bed, I pulled open the door and looked to the girl messing with her music player "What's that song?" I asked.

She eyed me "La Vie En Rose?" She said questionably.

I smiled "By who?" Please be the perfect song "Daniela Astrada." She said staring at me a bit scared.

Hurrying back into my room I shut the door and ran to the laptop typing it in before I forget.

Playing the song, I smiled wide "We've got a match!" I said biting my lip. It took me twenty minutes to remember the lyrics and I wrote the song under my Bye Bye Blackbird, "One more." I let out a breath of air.

The last song I found while letting the music play off and then I eyed the laptop got up wrote it down and headed to the band room handing them the list and giving them two hours to practice the songs before returning and practicing the songs with them.

"Anne you're a jazzy singer." The bass guitarist smiled up at me and I curtsied "Thank you."

I was feeling good.
