Sitting in front of the radio station backdrop, Savannah wrapped up her interview with Jacquees as he prepared to get on stage. So far everything was going smooth and the event was a sold out success. She was extremely proud of Kamyah and her hard work that was being displayed and heavily raved about. After seeing August at his soundcheck, she did her best to stay out of the way and keep personal conversations to a minimum to avoid any obvious tension. She spotted his female friend who was in the audience earlier, running around and assumed she was possibly his new assistant or manager. Her nerves were running rampant as she realized her next interview was indeed with him.
"Just breathe, stick to your questions, and don't let him throw you off" she said silently to herself
Glancing up, she watched him walk toward her direction, letting their eyes meet with one another. His stone cold expression gave her chills, but not the flattering kind. He stared daggers in her direction behind his shades, causing her clear her throat as she got off her stool.
"Hi August" she greeted
"Sup" he dryly responded
Greeting her with a dismissive hug, he took a seat on the stool across from her as she waited for the camera crew to get their equipment ready. She decided to use this time to get in his head a little, possibly melt the ice off his cold disposition.
"Long time, no see huh?" she nervously giggled
"Whose fault is that?" he shot back
"Okay, I deserve that. Can we at least have a smooth interview and talk later?" she asked
"I guess" he huffed
The knots tied tighter in her stomach, feeling herself on the verge of a full blown anxiety attack. She began to breathe deep, noticing him continue to burn holes into her eyes as he stared sternly. She wasn't sure if they would even make it through the interview, or if he would give the same energy he was giving her currently.
"Cameras rolling in 3...2..."
"We're back! It's your girl Savannah K. sitting down with the one and only, Mr. August Alsina. Happy Valentine's Day love" she said
"Thanks, appreciate the love" he smirked
"No problem. So, it's been a minute since you've came out. I know you wrapped up a tour at the end of the summer, but we're glad to see you out here. Can you tell us a little about what you're bringing the crowd tonight?" she asked
"Well, the same me I always am. You know, I'm not one who likes to switch up on people. I keep it 100 no matter what, you know what I'm sayin?" he said
"I hear you" she said feeling the interview shifting in a new direction
"Right, so I'm gonna go out there, do my thing, and give the people what they want" he said
"Well alright then. Anything special you have planned for the holiday?" she asked
"Be me, you know. I only got a handful of songs about love and that's a new concept for me. For minute, I thought I found the one, then you know, people change" he said
Savannah felt triggered, feeling his emotions pouring right into her. Knowing she had a few more questions, mentally she couldn't find it in herself to continue.
"I hear you. So, we're playing a game tonight. It's Truth, Dare, or Both. Basically, you pick one and draw out of the hat and it'll tell you what you have to answer and/or do" she said
"Okay, I'm an honest nigga so truth" he said
Nodding her head, she handed him the hat filled with questions. Picking one out, he chuckled to himself before reading the question aloud.
