"Thanks again Chef Garrett for providing this spread of food. I'm not sure how we're gonna get any work done" Troy laughed as he complimented him for catering their morning meeting
"No problem. If you all need anything else, just let my staff know" Garrett smiled, winking his eye at Kamyah
"Is she blushing? Awww" Trey smugly grinned as she cut her eyes at him
Going over plans for their much anticipated showcase of their lineup of the next rising stars that had been recently added to the label, it was sure to be a busy end of the year for everyone. Kamyah had taken on both the showcase and Savannah's launch party, leaving her constantly working nonstop.
"Shut up Tremaine. Thanks again babe" Kamyah smiled
"I like him for you. You seem less tense" Trey observed
"Until I get around you, my favorite migraine" Kamyah jested
"You two are like my kids who can't just get along. Do I need to make you two say something nice about one another before we move on?" Troy joked
"Please don't do that again. I'm running out of compliments" Kamyah shook her head
"Same" Trey added
"Oil and water these two" Garrett laughed as he walked away from the table
While he tried hard to focus, he knew after his meeting, it was straight to Savannah's to pick up the girls. He looked forward to any reason he had to go over her place. Even though he wished he could have her back in the house, he understood what the space was doing for them. He appreciated their growing friendship and ability to co-parent peacefully. The only rule she had was he respected her privacy and she would do the same for him. They didn't ask each other questions that they weren't prepared for the answers if they didn't agree, especially new dating interests. In the couple months apart, he found it hard to keep focus on another woman outside Savannah. Even after making up with Helen, their conversations were far in between compared to when he was going back and forth to LA.
"I'm guessing you missed all of that" Kamyah said snapping her fingers in his face
"Oh shit...my bad" Trey shook his head
"Lord, you so excited to get to Savannah's. We need you here right now" Kamyah laughed
"I know, I know. Okay I'm back now, let's focus" Trey said putting his plans behind him and bringing work to the forefront

A day at home was no time to relax for her as she tended to both Zoe and Aubree, all while continuing to put plans together for the launch party. Her kits were ready to be mailed to all of the local and well known social influencers to begin light promo of her brand. The idea of stepping into another lane excited her, but also intensified her nerves as the thoughts of failure crept up on her. Knowing this was her one shot to prove to not only herself, but her family and friends, she had to make sure her mind was fixated on as close to perfection as it could be.
"Zoe, you hungry?" Savannah called out to her as she popped her head up from the couch
"Nannas" Zoe spoke
"Bananas it is" Savannah said walking into the kitchen
Watching her phone vibrate across the counter, she smiled when she read his name on her caller ID. Popping in one of her Bluetooth earbuds, she accepted the call and proceeded to chop up some bananas for Zoe.
"Hey you" she answered
"Afternoon gorgeous" he complimented
"Aww, flattering me as always" she smiled
