Savannah felt like her head was a giant brick as she struggled to lift up and open her eyes. The sun crept through the black out curtains, but enough to burn into her eye sockets. Adding to the pain of the hangover she was enduring, her memory of the night before was fuzzy, but a few key things stuck out. The last thing she remembered was walking down the hallway and pressing the elevator going up. Her body was sore as she laid wrapped in his sheets. The faint shuffling sounds from outside the door, she had no energy to get up and or even find Trey. Noticing her phone resting on her nightstand, she reached for it, seeing a couple of texts and a missed call from Kamyah.
Barely able to function, she decided she at least needed to let her know she was okay. Closing her eyes, she rested the phone on her cheek as she waited for her to pick up the phone.
"Yo, you good?" Kamyah answered
"Why you so loud?" Savannah groaned
"Vanz, I'm barely alive myself, I can't be yelling" Kamyah defended
"Bitch, I feel like a train ran over me several times and backed up to make sure I was really down" Savannah gave a visual of her hangover
"Girl, you were on a thousand. I'm surprised you even went back with him" Kamyah said
"Why you say that?" Savannah frowned
"Uh, do you remember last night? The text?" Kamyah asked
"Wait...something about a daddy, right?" Savannah vaguely remembered
"Aw shit Vanz. You didn't fuck him last night, did you? He's got some explaining to do" Kamyah reminded her
Fuzzily, she started to piece together details that led to her consuming more alcohol, but it still wasn't strong enough for her return to her anger.
"Wow, I can't ever drink like that again. Who knows what shit I said to him? I woke up naked in his bed, but he's not here. His side is cold too so I think I slept alone. Where the fuck is he?" Savannah said growing frustrated
"Chile, better find him. Maybe it has something to do with that text" Kamyah guessed
Hearing him coming back into the suite, she asked Kamyah to bring her up some clothes and ended the call as she heard him walking inside the room. The smell of food instantly made her nauseous as he quietly opened the door. Lifting her head, he smirked, taking a seat on the edge of the bed, placing the plastic food container down next to her.
"I brought you back food" he said
"No, I'll throw it up" she shook her head in disagreement
"Baby, you got nothin but liquor in your stomach. Please, eat" he pleaded
Looking down at the food, she figured nibbling on some toast and eggs would suffice for the time being. Seeing him rub his hands together as she carefully opened the food containers, she could tell something was on his mind.
"You uh, you okay?" he asked
"Should I be?" she asked
"I don't know. Last night was wild" he explained
"How wild? Honestly my memory is a little hazy but something about a daddy and...wait a minute..." Savannah finally felt her memory snap into place as she took a bite of the toast, cutting her eyes
Watching him glance up at her, the somber look in his eyes as he reached for her hand and held it in his grasp lightly, Savannah felt a new wave of nausea hit her stomach. Taking a deep breath, she decided to open up the conversation herself to ease into it.
