"Nice doing business with you Savannah. Welcome aboard to the team"
Getting into her own was already feeling better than she expected. Knowing that her own income was well on its way to happening sooner than later, she couldn't wait to begin building her own brand and becoming a strong, independent woman that her daughter could look up to. She couldn't wait to sit down and begin researching, along with getting her name out there in a new medium. With the podcast beginning to record in a few days, she was focusing on being a mother, as well as moving out of the house without any issues. Trey had been busying himself, staying either locked in the studio in the basement, or out and about doing whatever he pleased.
After leaving the restaurant from her meeting with her new investors for her beauty line, she sat in the car to give Jojo a quick call before she headed home. After a couple rings, she was met by the sound of Aubree crying, instantly putting Savannah in panic mode.
"Hey girl" Jojo answered
"Hey, is she okay?" Savannah asked
"She's fine. She woke up with a wet diaper. I'm changing her now and it's a little drafty in here. Mama's fine though. How was the meeting?" Jojo asked
"Amazing. They showed me some projected figures and I'm excited. They want me to find something that sets me apart from competition. You know Atlanta is nothing but hair girls and MUAs" Savannah said
"Oh I know, but you already have a following. Plus, you be out here slayed to the Gods and beyond. I'm sure your loyal faves will keep your pockets full. And his fans love yall so they'll buy" Jojo reminded her
"Hmm, until they find out we broke up. You know stans, they're only loyal to the current boo" Savannah laughed, but was serious with her statement
"Ugh, I see their little hateful comments, that's not true. The hell is a Trelen? That sounds like a troll thot" Jojo said causing Savannah to laugh
"Shut up! You sound like Kamyah. I'm sure the fans would love that though. They've wanted them back together for years. Even with the mix of others, they seem to like her best" Savannah shrugged
"That's because they know her and he actually claimed her, just like they love you now. I'm sure they're used to you and accept this. And if they don't, fuck those hoes" Jojo said
"See, you've been around Kam too much, but I hear you. Anyway, I'm gonna grab some food and be home soon. Has he been home?" Savannah asked
"He popped in an hour ago and said he was going to go pick up Zoe from daycare. He seemed annoyed so I left him be" Jojo replied
Nodding her head, she knew where that misguided anger was coming from. After she reminded him that although she loved Zoe, she wasn't obligated to take care of her, he spitefully had been doing everything to make it so Savannah was doing nothing when it came to her. He picked a daycare, not even informing her what school she was at until three days after she started. He would get her dressed in the morning, sometimes not even mentioning he was leaving, or giving her a chance to tell Savannah bye.
"Pay it no mind. It's because of me. Another reason why I have to get out of here. He's being so spiteful until I agree to stay and do what he wants" Savannah said
"What a nigga. Well I'm about to give her a bottle and put her back down for a nap. I brought my Macbook to do edits so take your time" Jojo said
"Thanks girl. I miss my baby so I won't be long" Savannah assured her
Ending the call with Jojo, she started up her car, backing out of the parking lot as she let her music fill the emptiness of the car. Her mind was in a million places, feeling a slew of emotions that she wasn't exactly prepared for. While she wanted to make things work, his actions were proving that if it wasn't his way, he didn't like it. She wanted a partner who was going to support her regardless. Not having him even mention being proud her was more than hurting her feelings. The man she had shared such an intimate connection with, and now had his child, wasn't even able to push passed his own feelings to support her. It was bigger than him being a celebrity, it was him as a person, unable to look passed his own ego for the greater good of someone else.
