"Are you sure you're okay with this?" Savannah asked staring at the clock knowing she only had five minutes before she was due on air
"Vanz, go start your show before you get fined" Kareem said waving her off as Zoe sat on the couch
It was her last week at the station, but Trey was due back in LA for some business, leaving Savannah alone with her and Zoe for the first time since they moved into the house. The moment he left for the airport, Zoe was showing just how attached she had become to her father. She was fussy, refusing to eat, and overall just cranky. After a FaceTime with him, she seemed to finally come to a calmer state, however she still had to her job. As Savannah got up from her seat, Zoe began to whine, reaching out to her as she walked toward the door.
"Uh, Vanz we got a problem" Kareem said
Savannah turned around, seeing the pouting faced toddler reaching her arms out as her bottom lip trembled.
"Are you kidding me? Zo I'll be right back, I promise baby" Savannah said
Her words weren't enough to tide her over as she sniffled loudly with tears falling more rapidly.
"I'll just watch her in the studio for you. You gotta go now Vanz" Kareem said
Savannah picked Zoe off the couch, carrying her down to the studio room with Kareem right behind her. Placing her on the loveseat, she rushed over to the boards with just enough time to log into the database, place her headphones on and begin her show. Being the first time she had to juggle a small child on her own, she was looking forward to the break of being at home and relaxing for a while. The podcast was still in its infant stage, so it would still be a while before she sat down and began working on that.

Beginning the queue, she removed her headphones, taking a deep breath as she looked over at Zoe. Savannah had never felt so rushed, but before she never had to worry about getting someone else together and ready except for her. Packing up a diaper bag, putting Zoe's hair in two braids buns with hair balls, also making sure she took her prenatal vitamins and got something to eat before driving 45 minutes to the station was a lot.
"I'm so glad this is my last week, My God" Savannah said picking up the notes for the rumor topics
"I just find this so cute. You a real mom out here. You hear Lyriq when you walked in? If only she knew huh?" Kareem asked
"Listen, she doesn't need to know anything. You know she had the nerve to ask me the other day if she should shoot her shot again at Trey? Like girl, get the heck out my face" Savannah rolled her eyes
"Yo, you serious? She's gonna be fuming when she finds out you not only are dating him, but pregnant by him too" Kareem said
"Please, she would've been Road Runner the moment she found out he has a child. Lyriq is young and still living in her thot chronicles. Sometimes I miss those days" Savannah laughed
"Nah, I don't. Remember when I crashed at your apartment after that party? Woke up and heard you yelling daddy to somebody" Kareem said
"Oop, stop. You knew me at my worst, let me live" Savannah laughed
"Exactly, and now I see you grown up and I like it. Proud of you Vanz" Kareem complimented
"Aww thanks Peaches and Kareem" Savannah laughed as she called him by her old nickname for him
