Tossing her keys across her counter, Savannah was exhausted from her long drive home where she spent the majority of it in deep thought, zoned out by her music as she blocked out everything that had taken place over the course of the entire weekend. Between dinner and the party, she needed a break from him and his antics.
Glancing down at her phone, she had several missed calls and texts from Kamyah, Jojo, Mama April, and Trey. She was in no mood to discuss anything else from the night and planned to keep to herself for the remainder of the night. A bubble bath, her bottle of wine, and the melodic voice of Jhene Aiko was going to get her through the rest of the evening. Walking into her bedroom, she tossed her phone on the bed as the music connected to her Bluetooth speakers. Stripping out of her clothes, she grabbed her robe, tossing her hair up into a bun before walking into her master bath. Letting the water run, she ran into the kitchen to grab her bottle of her favorite Rose wine, planning to take advantage of a quiet, children-free home for some most important self care. Taking a seat on the edge of her whirlpool tub, she lit a couple candles, resting her phone down on her towel before sliding down into the water.
"I should've got some weed" she thought aloud before closing her eyes and letting her body soak under the suds
The chime of her phone's FaceTime went off as she popped one eye open, praying it wasn't her friends with some mess or Trey with more of his apologies. Leaning over, she was relieved when she saw Corey's name, remembering she promised to speak to him once she left. Accepting the call, her smiled once the calls connected, raising his eyebrow as she smirked with the suds resting against her collarbone.
"Long day?" he asked
"You have no idea" she said
"You look comfy though. Bad time?" he asked
"No, what are you up to?" she asked
"Wondering if you still want me to come down tomorrow or not?" he asked
"Oh, right. You know what, I think that's definitely what I need right about now. A break from everyone around me with someone who just makes me laugh. Don't get me wrong, I love my girls, but they're too close to the source of my stress right now if you know what I mean" she said
"Nah I get it babe. Even if you wanna get out the city for a couple days, I got you. The week is yours" he said
"I like the sound of that" she said smiling
Taking a gulp of her wine, she noticed him biting down on his lip, giggling as she placed the bottle down.
"Having a moment?" she asked
"Huh? Oh my bad. You look good. I never really seen you like that" he said
"Oh, is it bothering you?" she asked
"Not at all. Is it bothering you that I'm enjoying the view?" he asked
"Nope" she said
Sighing heavily, she sloshed the water around with her legs, feeling tingles between her thighs. The sexual tension between the two of them had been brewing for a while, but neither one had initiated any physical interaction with one another. While they agreed on working on their friendship, she wondered why she was forcing herself to go without while Trey had a whole new woman in his life, whether he claimed her or not.
"What about a quick getaway? Miami?" he asked
"I wouldn't mind that at all. Maybe getting out of Atlanta for something other than business will do me some good" she said
"It definitely will. Don't worry about a thing, everything is on me" he said
"Nooo you really don't have to do that" she said
