Taking a deep breath, Savannah took one more gulp from her water bottle before pressing his contact on the FaceTime app on her Macbook. A little impulsive of her, but she felt more comfortable seeing his face versus just being on the phone. She needed to see his expressions and not just assume based on his tone of voice. Seeing the call connecting, her stomach swarmed with butterflies as she braced herself for his face. Once he popped up, she was met with him leaning back on the couch. His tired eyes already spoke volumes to how he was adjusting to fatherhood.

"Well hello stranger" he said

"Hey, what's up?" she nervously asked

"Shit, you tell me. Last time I saw you, you were leaving a trail of stomach fluids outside my suite" he joked

"Oh God, I am so sorry about that night" she shook her head in embarrassment

"Tell my shirt that" he continued

Rolling her eyes, she sucked her teeth as she continued to laugh. It was a warm feeling that even though they hadn't spoke, the love was still there.

"No seriously, that was humiliating. I'm good on drinking for a little minute" she said

"Stop lying. You probably got some Henny in a cup right now" he said

"Nope, just water" she said shaking her bottle in the camera

"Water is good for the soul" he said

Nodding her head, she could feel the elephant in the room making its way in between their conversation as she sighed heavily. Rubbing her arms, she watched his copy her actions as his hand rested on the back of his neck.

"So, how's fatherhood?" she asked

"Oh, it's been a little crazy. I got all these baby cousins, godbabies, my niece and nephew, but it's nothing like being the actual parent. You ever heard of a poop explosion?" he asked

"Yea, they're a tragedy" she said

"Well imagine a little girl who has two in one day. I thought little girls ain't do all this" he laughed

"You can't be serious Tremaine. Girls poop just as much as little boys, maybe more" she said

"Hmm I ain't with this. She gotta get it together" he said

Hearing him talk about parenting struggles tickled her. She never imagined that the playboy himself would now be wrist deep in dirty diapers with a childproofed home. Listening to him vent was helping her ease into his situation without making it too awkward.

"So, I heard you and Kam got into it. Everything okay?" he asked

"Yea, we're fine. Wait, how did you know that?" she asked

"Don't worry about it. I heard it through a mutual friend, that's all you need to know" he said winking

"Hmm, whatever. Don't go talking to my friends behind my back" she playfully rolled her eyes

"Relax, it wasn't from Kam. I'm sure she doesn't even know that I know, but that's good. I know yall closer than two ass cheeks so I would hate for you to lose a friend like her. I can see why you two click" he said

"Did you say closer than two ass cheeks? Go to bed Tremaine" she said laughing

Their talk was interrupted by a small child crawling into his lap, rubbing her eyes as she rested against his chest. Focusing her eyes on Savannah, she covered her face, smiling as she peeked behind her fingers. Gulping silently, her heart nearly sank into her stomach as she noticed the uncanny resemblance between then, realizing this was truly his little girl she was staring at.
