"Savannah have you full thought about this? Are you sure you know him enough to just move in? I'm sure your father and I can help you get a bigger place if that's what you need" her mother continued to argue with her
Rolling her eyes, she was done explaining herself once again. Trying to get her to understand her reasons for accepting Trey's offer were simple for her, but it wasn't sitting well with her parents. She could understand where they were coming from, judging how she had really known him less than a year, but she felt safe with him. Each say he was proving himself to be a better man than he was the day before, which she had to respect.
"I'll be fine mom, I promise" Savannah said
"Okay, I mean you're grown. I guess we just don't know much about this young man, aside from him being famous. I'll have to make a trip down there soon" she said
Glancing at some of her already boxed possessions Kamyah and Kareem helped her pack up, she didn't expect the move to come as soon as it did. After much back and forth, Savannah realized he wasn't going to accept anything under the standards of living he wanted for his family. While she wanted a smaller, suburban home with a nice yard, his mind thought bigger. Looking at the pictures of the lavish 6 bedroom dwelling she was set to move into, she began to envision how she would make the place hers. Giving her complete creative control over the situation, she had already began pinning ideas for the projects she wanted to do before she became too big to maneuver around as she pleased.
"That's fine mom. I have no problem introducing you two. The public still doesn't know about my pregnancy, or his daughter for that matter so we're not being too vocal about the situation so as long as you don't go telling everyone you're about to be a grandma, we're good" Savannah stated
"I promise Savannah. I respect your privacy and I honestly don't need everyone all in my face about this young man either" she said causing Savannah to laugh
"You know they will too. Well, just let me know when you wanna come down so I can make sure he's in town" Savannah said
Glancing down at her stomach, she rubbed over her hardening bloat, now reaching week 12. Between planning for Zoe's first birthday and revealing her to the world, Savannah knew how much pressure Trey was under. While the house plans were being finalized, when he was in town, Zoe was at her side. She had been hinting around the radio station that she was planning to leave soon. Using two weeks of her vacation time, she dedicated most of it to getting her mind together and staying stress free. Kamyah was helping with the details of her birthday celebration in their new home, which his entire family was flying in town for. It would be the first time she was introduced to anyone outside his brother and childhood friends, so her nerves were growing restless with each passing day. They already knew of her and their unborn child, but this would be the first time they actually met.
Feeling her phone vibrate in her hand, she noticed a text from Kamyah asking her to call her immediately, wondering what she needed. It was rare when she asked for her quick response, so she figured it had to be important.
"Hey mom, I'll call you back later. Kam needs me for something" Savannah said
"Okay, you rest and take care of yourself" her mom reminded her
After exchanging love you's, she ended the call, scrolling to Kam's contact name and dialed her number next. After a couple rings she answered.
"Hey baby mama, you busy?" Kamyah asked
"Nope, what's up? Everything good?" Savannah asked
"Aside from planning this party, I'm great. So, a little ashy birdie told me you're looking for a new industry to tap into. First of all, stop telling Kareem things before me" Kamyah said sucking her teeth
