you awoke to jaebum looking down at you, you jumped at his presence as it frightened you. "wake up, we have to go to school," he said groggily. as much as you wanted to fall back to sleep, you still found yourself getting out of bed and change into clothes for school.

you apply light makeup and pack your school bag for the day. lastly, you rush down stairs to yet again, be greeted by a table full of boys. they were all on their phones eating breakfast, there was an open chair which you guessed was for you.

"good morning!! you look beautiful kylie!" youngjae smiled brightly, he pulled out the chair for you and had you sit down.

"awe thank you, youngjae," you smile. you watch as jaebum rolled his eyes in disgust,
to which you replied with a scrunched nose.

"hurry up, kylie! we live far from the school, we need to leave soon," jaebum said, stuffing his face with the food in his plate.

"i'm not hungry," you say shyly. youngjae furrowed his brows, "are you sure? i can pack you something," he offered. you shook your head in response and started picking up your school bag which you put on the floor.

you and jaebum started for the door, you mentally groaned at the simple
thought of school. the two of you settled yourselves in the car and and jaebum began driving to school. "where is yugyeom," you ask out of curiosity.

"not sure, if i'm honest," jaebum replied dryly. the thick morning fog made it near impossible to see, so for yours and jaebum's sake, you stay quiet so he can focus on the road without issues.

the two of you entered the school and immediately went separate ways. although you had very few classes together, jaebum typically walked you to every class. however today, jaebum has a test make-up during homeroom so he couldn't walk you to your home room teacher.

"kylie?" you hear your name and quickly spin on your heel to see who had called you. you met face to face with seungcheol, minghao's best friend.

"oh, hey seungcheol," you say shyly. "how've you been kylie?" he asked casually.

"uh," you started, "pretty good, i guess. nothing had really changed." you shifted in place, this was so uncomfortable.

"are you alone?" he spits out. "oh, uh, yeah," you stutter, playing with the straps on your backpack.

"oh," he stops and smiles, "i can walk you to your homeroom if you want, ky," he states innocently. you ponder the thought, seungcheol and you had been close ever since you and minghao dated, and even after the obvious breakup, he had gone out of his way to check up on you.

"sure! why not?" you smile brightly. he nods in approval and takes up the empty spot next to you. the two of you walked to your home room which was practically on the other side of the school.

you two catch up on each other's lives, seungcheol seemed pretty set on talking why you were out for school so you continuously told him that 'you were out because of a surgery' however, he didn't believe you at all, as he kept asking the question in different variations in attempt to get the real answer from you.

you grew uncomfortable from the repetitive question and you were starting to run out of conversation-changers. "looks like my homeroom is here," you try and excuse yourself, to which seungcheol only interjects.

"isn't your homeroom all the way at the end of all the hall?" he asked.

"not anymore it's not," you reply running away through the crowd of people swarming the halls, taking up every space they possible could. this however, made it near impossible for you to make the 'grand escape' you pictured in your head.

it also didn't help that seungcheol wasn't even running after you, "damn, i try to have fun," you frown.
