"Ugh" Luna mumbled, turning in bed, as her phone started ringing.
"Mmm?" she answered it.
"Do you have any idea what time it is? I have been standing in front of your door for half an hour ringing." Elijah stated impatiently.
He wanted to check up on her after last night, but she was fast asleep.
She looked at the clock at her bedside table read 2 p.m. It was Saturday so she was allowed to sleep in.
"My head is killing me, stop shouting" she mumbled sitting up, her head spinning.
"Open the door. I'm going to make you some hangover soup to feel better" Elijah said.
Luna crawled out of bed and felt a sting in her head the moment she stood up. She hissed and rubbed her head trying to soothe the pain. She loved drinking, but hated the consequences of it.
After the sting stopped, she got to the front door opening it, still half asleep.
Elijah grabbed her shoulders looking at her intensely to see if she was okay. Because he was used to her getting drunk, he knew that if she drinks a lot, she will still be drunk even when she wakes up.
She pushed his hands away in a hurry, rushing to the toilet to puke her guts out, still buzzed from last night.
Elijah followed her and held her hair above the toilet seat.
"Wash your face. I'm going to the kitchen to make you soup" he said standing up.
Even though he was disgusted from her, he didn't want to show it.
"Okay" she murmured and wiped her face with her hands.
She looked at her reflection on the mirror and almost screamed because she looked like a 60-year-old bearded man with her hair stuck to her chin. She quickly washed her face and brushed her hair so she could look at least decent to the human eye.
After she washed, she strolled to the kitchen.
"Here" Elijah said putting the soup in front of her and handing her a spoon.
She took one spoon full of soup and made a disgusting face, still feeling sick.
"I can't eat this, I'm going to puke it all out later" she complained, putting the spoon down and shoving the bowl away from her.
"Stop complaining and eat. It will make you feel better" Elijah insisted. He picked up the spoon and started to feed her.
Because she wasn't feeling the best today, she let him.
"Do you feel better now?" he asked after she finished the whole soup.
"Yeah, kind of" she answered. She was feeling better, but she was still sick.
She was grateful for having a friend like him. He always took care of her when she got drunk and he was always there when she needed him. Every time she called him, he would pick up.
When they were in high school, Luna had a boyfriend that was a problematic one. After she broke up with him, he wouldn't stop calling and texting her. When Elijah found out about that, he confronted the guy and scared him. After that encounter, he stopped calling her. Luna never found out why, and Elijah never told her.
"I bought some medicine to help your hangover. Here, drink them" Elijah said handing her the pills and a glass of water.
She drank them diligently gulping the whole glass, simultaneously quenching her thirst.
Elijah plopped his hands on the table and rested his head on them."Let's watch some movies or play games. What do you want to do?" he suggested.
"Umm... Let's watch movies. I can't play a game. It requires thinking." she said getting up from the stool in the kitchen and heading to the living room to choose a movie. He followed her plopping on the sofa.
"Do you want to change into something more comfortable?" she asked turning towards him and looking at his jeans and a loose shirt.
"Yeah, sure" he said getting up.
"The pajama pants are on the left in the wardrobe and the shirt is I think ... under it. If it isn't then it's still in the washing machine" she stated still browsing for movies to watch.
Elijah had a lot of stuff here. It was like he was living here. Every other day he spent the night here so he thought that it would be better if he brought his own pajamas and a toothbrush. Then he started bringing other stuff he needed. Elijah's house was filled with Luna's stuff too.
"Did you find a movie?" Elijah asked sitting next to her after he changed in his pajamas.
She didn't want to watch a romance movie so she picked a crime thriller.
"Yeah, we're watching a crime thriller." she said pointing to the TV.
"Oh, nice. I was in the mood for a crime" he agreed with her.
Luna cuddled next to Elijah and they spent the whole day laying on the couch while having a crime movies marathon. At least one Saturday of the month they had to spent it by lazily doing nothing. It was their tradition.
