"Okay guys, we really need to go on a team dinner" Matthew said, walking into the office. He wanted to give them something for their hard work.

"Sure. When is it?" Lucas asked, turning his chair towards him. He had glasses on, making him look smart. He adjusted them with his index finger so they won't fall. Luna noticed that and thought it was really hot. Glasses were one of her weaknesses.

"Hello?" Matthew waived a hand in front of her face. She shook her head and looked at him

"Yes? What?"

Lucas smirked and looked down to the ground to hide it.

"A team dinner?" Matthew asked, hoping she listened to him this time.

"Ah yes, okay, sure. I'm okay with it" she got herself out of a bad situation.

"This friday. It'll be on me" he proudly said, clapping his hands. He just got his paycheck yesterday and wanted to treat everyone.

"I'm sorry. I can't. I have an appointment that day" one of the people from the team said.

"Yeah, me too" another one said.

"What? Oh, come on guys. It's my treat" Matthew insisted.

"I'm sorry. My mom is coming from France on Friday. I really am sorry" one of them said, tapping him on the shoulder and walking out of the office.

The other one just does a half smile and follows the other guy.

Because the team consisted of only six people, only Lucas, Luna, Matthew and Elijah were left to go to the team dinner. They weren't ecstatic to go but they wanted to respect their team leader. Plus they wanted to cool off from work.

"Fine. It'll be just the four of us then" he said, sounding sad.

~~~~~~~~~~
"Let's do a cheer guys" Matthew raised his glass to toast for their hard work.
"I'm really grateful for you guys. You've worked hard" he added.
You could've heard glasses clinking against each other. Everybody was laughing and having fun. Luna was more responsible this time and didn't drink as much as the last time. Or at least she thought she would.
"You know guys," she slurred her words "this man right here" she pointed to Lucas, swaying a little bit "he's-"
Lucas caught her off by putting a hand on her mouth before she said anything inappropriate before them. He knew how much it meant to her but he still didn't know why.
"Hey!" she protested, swatting his hand away and almost losing her balance on the chair "I want to tell them!"
Lucas caught her by her sides and she leaned on him, closing her eyes.
Matthew then remembers the "incident" a few days ago.
"I knew you kissed then" Matthew exclaimed getting a little too excited.
Matthew and Elijah were quick-witted, they figured it out. Especially Elijah, because he knew Luna very well.
"No we didn't" Lucas quickly said. Too quickly.
Matthew narrowed his eyes and looked at him intensely. After a minute, Lucas buckled under pressure and admitted.
"Okay, fine, yeah. We kissed." Lucas sighed.
"Why did you hide it from us?" Elijah asked, feeling hurt even though he knew it.
"Well, you know Boss, right?" Luna asked, getting up from Lucas' shoulder. She was still drunk but spoke clearer.
Elijah nodded and Matthew just continued looking at her.
"Yeah, well, you know that he's against office dating then" she sighed, looking at her hands.
"Yeah, okay. I get you" he reached for her shoulder and tapped it in comfort.
"Just please don't tell anyone. If he finds out I don't know what will happen"
"I'm really happy with him" Luna smiled while looking at Lucas. She felt like a weight was lifted from her shoulders by saying this.
He looked at her, taking her hand and leaving a kiss.
Matthew did a squealing noise, clapping his hands and smiling from ear to ear.
"I'm so happy for you guys. You have no idea. I've been waiting to have an office couple for years"
"I think you should find yourself a girlfriend, man" Lucas pursed his lips and tapped him on the shoulder, chuckling.
Luna and Elijah started chuckling too.
"Yeah. Instead of waiting for someone to hook up, you should've been searching for a girlfriend." Elijah said.
"It would've taken him longer" Luna snickered, teasing him.
"Hey! No, it wouldn't have" Matthew said, feeling offended.
They all laughed as they continued their drinking.
