"Okay so guys, a new case just came in. Here are the files" Matthew said, handing the files to Lucas.

"You, Luna and Elijah will be working on this one because it's a tough one. Plus, you three are the ace's of this team" he declared, looking at Luna to see her reaction.

Luna just nodded and stood next to Lucas to see the files. She was excited to work on this case. Even though she needed rest, she wanted to go back to work.

When Elijah heard this he sighed, knowing Luna's temper. She couldn't stand someone butting in her work. Matthew always paired up those two because Elijah knew what to do with her but now when Lucas is in the picture, Elijah feared things would go out of hand.

"Okay, so It's a murder-suicide case. We should go to the crime scene" Lucas said, putting the files on his table and going towards the exit.

Luna picked them up and examined them. "Shouldn't we first go to the witnesses and ask them what they saw, and then go to the crime scene." she suggested.

After hearing this, Lucas halted and went back.

"I think, first, we should go to the crime scene, investigate it, go to the witness, go back here and figure out what to do with all of the information we'll get" Lucas said,  standing in front of her with his hands on his hips. Luna saw him doing this gesture and because she was feeling sassy, she did it herself.

"Here we go" Elijah sighed, rubbing his forehead.

"Okay, guys. How about we split up." they both snap their eyes towards Elijah "I will go to the crime scene and Luna and you will go interview the witness and then we'll meet up here. Deal?" he intertwined, breaking the conflict that was rising between them.

"Fine" both of them said in unison.

They both looked at each other and Luna just huffed, grabbed her purse and went out the door.

Lucas looked at Elijah weirdly. Elijah, knowing she's just acting,  swung his hand in mid-air, telling him not to worry about it.

When they arrived at the witness', Emma's, house, she invited them over for a tea.

Both of them began to act serious so they could solve this case sooner.

"How are you?" Lucas asked as he sat on the couch.

"I'm...I'm good, good. " Emma answered.

"You know why we're here, right?" Luna asked with calmness in her voice.

"Yes" she said with no emotions. She was still shaken up by the situation she witnessed.

"Can you tell us what you saw that day?" Lucas said and got out a recorder to record what she'll say.

"Are you okay with this?" Luna asked, touching the recorder. She asked just in case Emma was too uncomfortable being recorded.

"No, no. I'm fine." she sighed. "That day" she continued " I was going home from work when I heard a cat meowing. I followed the sound and saw a little cat going through the trash looking for food. I got close to it and saw that it was friendly so I started petting it..." she stopped to calm herself down "...that was the moment when I heard a woman's scream and footsteps running. I was so scared, didn't know what to do, so I just grabbed the cat and ran home. The next day... I heard on the news that there was a murder near my house. I haven't gone out since then"

"Is there anything else? How many footsteps did you hear?" Luna inquired.

"I- I don't remember. I couldn't quite tell. I was too terrified from the sound of the scream" she said as a little cat climbed in her lap.

Lucas saw how afraid she was and he sent Luna a look that said that they've got enough information for now.

"Okay. Thank you for your cooperation" Lucas said and shook her hand.

"Thank you" Luna followed, getting up.

"You're welcome" she said calmly.

They finished their job and headed towards the car "Nice job" Luna said, smiling.

"You're not bad either" he smirked cockily and put the car in gear.

While those two were getting information, Elijah arrived at the crime scene.

There were a couple of police cars still there and a tape, around a bench in the park where the victim was found in a horizontal position.

He started examining the bench for more clues and he saw a ring hidden in the grass next to the bench.

On the ring, there was a carving that said " Marcus & Lydia".

He assumed the ring's owner was Lydia as the files said that the victim's name is Lydia.

Wondering how could they not notice the ring, he strolled deeper into the woods in the park and saw something unusual. There was a not so noticeable dent in one of the trees with an x carved over it.

As he opened it with a pocket knife he saw a book there. He was surprised to find a lot of pictures from Lydia and Marcus in that book when suddenly, he turned one picture. 'Kill' was written on it with red letters.

He started looking around and found a bunch of trees with a dent like this one, but without the x carved, filled with different kinds of books with other girls and the same writing behind them.
