"What're you reading?" Jungkook leaned forward to peek at her book.
"It's a book Taehyung recommended about the Fourth Vampire King." Aera answered. "Hurry up with your answer sheet."
Jungkook pouted and slumped in his chair. He stared at the printed sheet filled with math equations. Aera's part of the deal was to tutor him academically and help him adjust more. It had been three days since his arrival and the only subject that didn't resonate with him was math.
"It looks more interesting than the worksheet." Jungkook mumbled. "Why are you reading it? That isn't the topic for our history class."
"I feel like it might give us more clues about you. After all, I found you in the tomb of the Fourth King." Aera answered.
"Why not ask Namjoon for help? He's what you guys call a hunter right?" Jungkook suggested.
"I think you're forgetting the fact that he doesn't know you're a vampire." Aera reminded. "Don't forget you're still a wanted one too."
"Why don't vampires burn in the sun?" Jungkook asked. "I walk in the sun and I'm fine. Even Hoseok."
"They adapted thanks to the third vampire king." Aera answered. "Jungkook you haven't even answered half of the questions on the worksheet."
"It's all too complicated! What does x have to do with y and why do we need to find them?" Jungkook whined. "I wanna go home and watch TV."
"Fine then, I guess I won't tutor you anymore. I guess that you also won't be going to school anymore." Aera said, closing her book. Jungkook's eyes grew wide at her statement.
"I'll answer it wait please." Jungkook mumbled. He got his pen and scribbled away. Aera smiled and went back to her book. She silently took notes on important parts, but came across something weird.
The Fourth Vampire King was executed for breaking the rule of having romantic ties with a human.
Aera frowned slightly at the statement. They could have just dethroned and detained him. She wrote it down in case it would be helpful in the future.
"Finished!" Jungkook chirped. He slid the paper towards Aera and slumped in his seat. He watched her as she checked his paper. He could tell he could make a couple of mistakes as she was writing the correct solutions.
"You did better than last time." Aera said. She slid him back the paper before fixing her things. "We should head back, Joon said he'll be home late tonight."
She watched Jungkook stand slowly. His eyebrows were furrowed together as he clutched his head.
"Hey, are you alright?" Aera asked. He nodded and stood straight. "Once we get home I'll call Hoseok to take a look at you."
The two walked out together and made their way down to the school gates. Aera tapped at her phone, texting Hoseok to come over later.
"Aera, look at that!" Jungkook squealed. He grabbed her hand and dragged her who knows where.
"Jungkook slow down!" Aera said. Jungkook skidded to a stop, causing the girl to bump into him. She looked at what was in front of them and absorbed their surroundings.
Despite it being a tad bit cloudy, the sun setting made the scene look more beautiful. They were at a hill a few minutes away from their school. It showed a good view of the town below.
"How did you see it from that distance?" Aera asked in awe. "Oh wait, I forgot you're a vampire. I wish I had that kind of vision."
