Aera stared blankly at the black ceiling. Her body ached all over, for some reason. She forced herself to sit up and found a cat resting at the corner of the bed. She debated whether or not to pet it, but a groan of annoyance caught her attention. On her right was another bed where Jungkook rested.

"Kook?" Aera called.

The boy shifted a bit before turning to face her. His eyes were flashing from brown to aqua neon blue. He weakly reached out to her, his hand shaking.

"You still look pretty." Jungkook managed to say. She rolled her eyes before turning away from him. She probably looked like a troll on a hot summer day.

She observed the room and saw it was like a clinic, but the standard white walls were black. The only lively color in the room were the bedsheets and door.

"Sorry I took a little long." Another voice joins. A girl around Aera's height appeared in the room, a glass of a royal blue liquid in her hand. "I hope you don't mind we took some blood, Jungkook was on the verge of dying from blood loss."

She had long thick hair that stretched past the middle of her back. She wore shorts and a simple tank top with a blazer over. The mark of what looked like petals peeked out from the left side of her clothes.

She placed the glass on Jungkook's bedside table and smiled. Jungkook, on the other hand, looked horrified at the sight of her.

"If I may ask who are you?" Aera questioned. "How did we end up here?"

"Me? I'm Jung Jisung." She answered. "I've been treating you both since you got here. I was that cat you saw."

Her name sounded so familiar to Aera until she remembered how she got here.

"Where's Namjoon?" Aera asked. "He's here already right?"

Jisung frowned and shook her head. She looked hesitant to talk.

"I'll wait for you both outside. He'll give you the answers you need." Jisung muttered. Before Aera could protest, the mysterious girl walked out the door.

Aera sighed and removed the drip from her wrist. She turned to Jungkook who was still scared out of his wits.

"Kook, what's wrong?" Aera frowned. She shakily approached her significant other and cupped his cheeks. For once, he was ice cold. He snapped out of his trance and looked at her.

"I don't know why but she makes me feel scared." Jungkook sighed. He took the glass and glanced at Aera.

"You do know you don't have to keep asking me for permission." Aera scolded. "And you're injured right you need it."

"It's still your blood." Jungkook shot back. He chugged the contents of the glass and hummed in satisfaction. He placed the glass back in its place and got up. "Let's go."

The two walked out and saw Jisung admiring a painting. Aera snaked her hand into Jungkook's big ones. She squeezed his hand, assuring that he'll be fine.

They walked down the long carpeted hall. The place was rather well decorated and large. Jisung noticed their stares and smiled.

"You're in the palace of the Sixth Vampire King." Jisung explained. "I'm taking you guys to meet the king right now. He knows your situation and was willing to help."

They stopped in front of the large wooden double door. The guards bowed and opened the doors for them. The room was dim, the only light coming from candles that lined the walls.

"I told you to stop staying in the dark when you work it's bad for your eyes." Jisung pouted. She snapped her fingers and the room lit up.

In the middle at the far end were two thrones; one being occupied by someone familiar. He sheepishly laughed and stood.
