The young vampire walked along the halls of the palace. The maids and butlers always bowing their heads when they cross ways with him. He never left the palace much. He was the only heir and it made all the other kids feared him.

"Ah, there you are you squirt." A familiar voice said.

Ah yes, the only servant who treated him like a normal kid. He had been serving them for a long time even if he was still a young vampire.

"What is it Yoongi?" The little boy asked.

"Your father is calling you." Yoongi answered.

"Where's he at?" The little boy asked.

"He's in the throne room." Yoongi answered. "Fix your mask a bit of your face is showing."

The little boy adjusted his mask making sure it was secure. Only his family was allowed to see his face for security reasons. If they were to know the face of the heir he would be put at risk.

"Thank you!" The little boy said. He waved happily as he walked away. He skipped towards the throne room, excited to see his father.

He froze and snapped his head to the right. It was quick, but he had seen movement at the corner of his eyes. He scanned the place using his thermal vision. As expected, he saw a small figure like his hiding behind the curtain. He pretended to walk away and hid at the corner.

He watched as a boy emerged from the curtains. He wore all white and was barefoot. His ebony hair looked fluffy as if he had just woken up. He looked both sides and sighed in relief.

Well, his peace was short lived.

The little boy tackled him down in a split second and pinned him to the ground. He let out a growl as he examined the boy. He was probably a bit younger than he was which surprised him. It had been almost 5 years since he had last talked to someone near his age. He looked oddly familiar.

"Who are you?" The little boy asked. The boy below him looked terrified at him.

"I'm one of the maid's son." The mysterious boy answered. "I'm sorry." The little boy let go with a sigh.

"Go, I'm sorry for startling you. Next time don't sneak around." He said.

"But I can't be seen by other people. Father will get mad at me." The mysterious boy mumbled. "Now that you've seen me let's be friends!"

"What are you talking about don't you know who I—"

The strap on the little boy's mask snapped. His eyes stared wide in horror as he watched it fall to the ground. He bent and covered his face.

"Why are you covering your face? You look very handsome!" The mysterious boy pouted.

"You'll get killed if you see my face." The little boy cried.

"The let's keep it a secret!" The mysterious boy suggested. "If you'll be my friend I'll keep it a secret and I'll be your friend so you could keep it a secret!"

The little boy raised a brow at him. He didn't understand the unknown boy's logic but accepted it anyway. There was no use fighting against him by the looks of it.

"Fine, let's be friends."
