Jungkook tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for his demon of a brother to turn up. The agreed meeting place was by the cliff that overlooked the town. Hoseok hid snugly up in the trees, waiting for the right moment to attack.

Jisung was back at the palace resting as she had used up her energy and would not be awake for a while. Jimin was still in recovery and unable to fight leaving the two of them to the mission.

Ever since the incident though, Jungkook had been acting weird. He would have sudden outbursts and would hurt himself. The voices in his head would make his migraines worse and Jimin knew it was not good. With the past repeating itself, only this time it Aera took the place of his mother, he feared for the boy. With memories came the pain of the past.

"Jungkook, don't engage alright? Our priority now is to save Aera." Hoseok reminding voice kept him at bay. It was the only thing he could hold onto as of now. It felt like he was going insane.

He couldn't lose her the same way he lost his mother. During that time when he had accidentally killed a guard that tried to rape his mother and a maid out of hunger, she had been accused and trialed for murder. His father did nothing to keep others from learning of his existence and executed her.

"You actually came, baby brother." Taehyung mused. He stepped out into the open with Yoongi behind him. In his arms was Aera who looked at him with desperate eyes.

"What the hell do you want with her you asshole? Can't you just stop?" Jungkook growled.

"I can't, not until I execute my plan." Taehyung said. "I'll give you a choice Jungkook and know that I'm not playing around. Try something like what Namjoon did before or she'll end up just like him."

Hoseok moved silently from tree to tree and approached Yoongi and Aera. He let his presence be known to Yoongi which made him realize their plan. He slowly backed away from Taehyung and towards Hoseok.

"I'll let you choose, join me and we'll rid this world of humans or live in a world without Aera." Taehyung threw a knife that hit Hoseok in the eye. He let out a cry of pain before falling out of his place in the tree. "You can't fool me. If you don't know I have thermal vision."

"I won't join you." Jungkook spat. The sun began to rise at this point and created a beautiful scene. "Give her back to me before I rip your throat out."

"I don't think you know who's in charge right now do you?" Taehyung laughed. He grabbed Aera by the hair and pushed Yoongi back. He went ahead and grabbed Hoseok too and dragged the two to the edge of the cliff. "At the bottom of this cliff sharp rocks wait to go through their bodies. If you choose to join me then I'll let go. If not, I'll let them both become kebabs."

"I will find a way to save both Aera and I you prick." Hoseok growled. Taehyung only glared at him and pushed the knife in deeper.

"What's your choice?" He asked. "I'm getting tired here."

"I'll join you. Just please let them live." Jungkook said. He raised his arms in surrender and Taehyung grinned like a mad man.

"Which one? The girl or the former Nightwalker?" Taehyung asked.

"This wasn't part of the—"

Taehyung began to count down from 10. When Jungkook would take a step closer the more Taehyung would push them out.

"I won't be mad at you bro, I promise you." Hoseok reassured. Jungkook felt conflicted. If he chose Aera not only will Hoseok's life be lost but also his blood bank. The voice in his head sounded again, this time stronger and louder.

"Aren't you mad at what the humans did to you too? The way they killed your mother for the crime you committed? The crime that father pushed you to do?" Taehyung shouted. "Don't you want to avenge your mother? Don't you want to see them drown in their own blood?"

To keep himself sane he knew what he needed.

"Spare Aera! Please!" Jungkook begged.

Taehyung could only grin as he let go of the both of them. Aera screamed as Hoseok tried to reach out to her. A figure jumped out from the ledge, grabbing Hoseok midair. He extended his arm, but wasn't able to grab Aera.

Back on the cliff though, it felt as though Jungkook's world had fallen apart. Everything around his turned red as a reflection of himself now appeared before him. The reflection had all the qualities he hated, the dull white eyes and hair, blue chapped lips, dark veins branching from his eyes, and the same mocking voice he had.

"Let's kill him?" It asked. Jungkook laughed as the tears streamed down his cheeks. Taehyung, who watched him, smirked.

"Has my dear brother's monster finally been unleashed?" Taehyung teased. He began running, Yoongi following, as Jungkook finally snapped.

Jungkook ran after them, tearing apart anything that came in his way. He locked his eyes on his target. He pounced on him, only to be pushed into a cage. He tried to break the bars, but the silver spikes only dug into his skin.

"I should have fucking killed you when I had the chance!" Jungkook screamed.

"Dear baby brother do you remember this cage? This was where father kept you captive." Taehyung said. He turned to Yoongi who kept quiet. "Bring him to my favorite room at headquarters."

"Yes, My Lord."

Hoseok panicked as he tried to fight against the unknown man. His eye was slowly healing but he couldn't get a good look at his savior's face.

"Hoseok calm down it's me!" The man exclaimed. Hoseok could recognize the familiar naggy voice.

"J-Jin?!" Hoseok watched as the familiar man removed the hood. He smiled sadly despite his face being swollen from beatings and dried blood stuck onto it. "I thought you died back there!"

Jin could only smile at his tearful friend. He helped him up and brought him back to the palace. There, they met with Jimin who rested beside a sleeping Jisung.

"Jin you're alive thank god." Jimin said. He tried to get up but Jin gestured for him to stay down.

"I'm sorry. I deserved to die when I broke Hoseok out, but here I am now." Jin let out a bitter laugh before getting down on his knees. He bowed his head down to the floor as his shoulders began to shake. "This is all my fault because I didn't trust in Jungkook. I only made things worse."

"Jin get up. We don't blame you." Jimin said. "You were only trying to do your job. Please get up."

"Maybe if only I listened to my heart and not to my job maybe... just maybe it wouldn't be like this." Jin cried. "I couldn't even save Aera."

"What are you talking about?" Jimin asked, his eyes widening. Jin lifted his head but didn't say a word.

"Taehyung hung me and Aera off the cliff and let go of us when he didn't need us anymore. He was able to catch me but... Aera isn't coming back." Hoseok explained. "Jungkook saw everything and I don't know what happened to him."

"He's probably in Taehyung's hands. We need to wait for Jisung to recover before we can do anything honestly." Jimin said. "Jungkook probably lost control and without Aera we really can't do anything to tame him. She was the only thing left."

"How did you escape?" Hoseok asked.

"Yoongi had given me the key and I escaped when they left. I almost didn't make it honestly." Jin sighed. "It was all thanks to the new blood."

"New blood? Was that the guy who took Aera yesterday?" Jimin asked.

"You don't know who the New Blood is?" Jin questioned.

"Do you know who it is?" Hoseok asked. Jin nodded and smiled.
