Namjoon walked down the eerie halls. He had only gone for a while yet there were new people filling the cells. Everyone cowered in fear as soon as he came in sight, especially the women. He shifted slightly as guilt ate at him.
What exactly did he do?
"Sir, it's been a while since you came back. How may I assist you?" A guard approached him and saluted.
"Where is Taehyung?" Namjoon asked. The guard led him through the corridor and to Taehyung's office. "You may leave."
Namjoon knocked before walking in. He bowed before looking at Taehyung. The Nightwalker sat relaxed in his chair as he scribbled away on a map. He cleared his throat and was finally noticed.
"Namjoon! You're finally back!" Taehyung rushed forward and hugged the latter. "Did you enjoy your meal? You took really long so we attacked first."
"It took me a while as she was a feisty one." Namjoon answered in a monotone. He reached into his pocket and handed an envelope. "I believe I ran into one of her comrades, the short one was it? I tried to kill him but his wife interfered. This is what he left."
Taehyung opened the letter, an smirk finding its way on his handsome face. He placed the letter on the table and pinned a red dot onto the map.
"Do they think I'm stupid?" Taehyung laughed. "They want to confront me? Do they really think that it's just talking? This is just a waste of time."
"What are your orders sir?" Namjoon asked.
"I'm not stupid. I won't go, they think they can talk themselves out of this?" Taehyung sat back down on his chair and turned to look out the window. "Actually, let's give them a surprise of a lifetime. We'll attack the kingdom next. I've been thinking of improving headquarters and the palace seems fine. After all, it was supposed to be mine."
"I'll go prepare for the mission. We'll be ready when you are." Namjoon said.
"Go inform my dear brother. We leave at sundown." Taehyung waved him off and continued to read his book. Namjoon exited and let out the breath he didn't know he was holding.
"What are you doing back here?" Yoongi asked. Namjoon pulled him into a hug. Yoongi patted his back awkwardly and pushed him away. "Okay what is going on?"
"Thank you for giving me the locket. Thank you because Aera came to me." Namjoon whispered. It was because of Yoongi's quick thinking he was able to get a grip. "Let's move somewhere else?" The two walked to Yoongi's living quarters where they knew it was safe.
"Taehyung told me to throw it but I saw the picture inside and thought it might help." Yoongi said. "Tell me what the hell is going on. Why are you back?"
"Aera brought me back to the palace and we made a plan. I need to see Jungkook. There's a chance he might come back to himself if we try what we did to me." Namjoon started. "If it works, we'll work from the inside to take Taehyung down later. Hyung he plans to attack the village where the palace is and we need to do something."
"And what if it doesn't work? What are you going to do?" Yoongi asked. Namjoon pulled a familiar looking diary. "That's Taehyung's!"
"Yeah no shit so, I need you to tell me what happened in between the last two entries." Namjoon said. "Who is Shin Ara? What role did she play? It could be a crucial key on how we can save Jungkook if he can't recognize Aera."
"On December 20, Jungkook's mother was executed. That was the day the massacre occurred." Yoongi started. "I saw it happen and I was next in line to get killed. Ara tried to protect me but Taehyung being the wimpy hero he is fought against Jungkook and with Ara's help he was able to come back to his senses. I don't know exactly what they did but it was enough to bring him back. Her descendant looks exactly like her and it's scary."
"What if she's the reincarnation?" Namjoon blurted out. "Hey don't give me that look if vampires and witches are real the I'm pretty sure that reincarnation is possible too."
"It could be. I'll deliver the information to them personally. While I get ready try to talk to Jungkook." Yoongi said. "He's in the hidden cell in isolation."
"Why is he there? Taehyung never put me there after... brainwashing." Namjoon felt the need to change the word as just the mention of the original made his skin crawl.
"He's not fit to be by himself. You'll see when you meet him. I'll give you 20 minutes before I leave. Good luck." Yoongi patted his shoulder before heading to his closet. "Good luck. Be careful."
Namjoon put on another poker face before walking out. He felt nervous walking to the isolation room. Once he arrived, one look at the guard and he opened the door. He felt his heart drop at the sight of his friend.
Jungkook was backed into a corner, trembling. His eyes were wide as he chanted something over and over again under his breath. The walls around him had scratches and a bit of blood. In the middle of the room was a metal chair that seemed familiar to Namjoon. The chair that caused him to lose his sanity.
"Jungkook? Do you recognize me?" Namjoon carefully approached the boy in fear of a sudden attack. "Jungkook it's me, Namjoon."
The boy looked up at him and tilted his head. Namjoon couldn't tell what he was doing as his eyes were pure white.
"Did my brother send you here?" Jungkook asked. "Where are we going to kill next?"
"Jungkook, you don't need to kill anymore. I can get you out of here and we can fight against Taehyung." Namjoon said. He pulled a picture of Aera from his pocket and showed it to Jungkook. "She's still alive. Aera's still alive and waiting for you!"
"LIAR! SHE'S DEAD! THAT'S NOT HER! THE HUMANS KILLED HER!" Jungkook shouted. Fresh hot tears flowed down his cheeks. "They killed her because of me."
"Jungkook that's not true. She's alive don't you see?" Namjoon desperately tried to point it out but Jungkook didn't accept the information.
How much did Taehyung hurt him? What exactly did he do for him to become like this?
"My brother told me he won't leave me if I kill all of them." Jungkook mumbled. "He's the only one I have left just like before."
Namjoon grit his teeth, his blood boiling at the mention of brother. That monster didn't deserve Jungkook as a brother. One thing was for sure, Jungkook was too far in. He can't be snapped out easily.
"I'm sorry if I lied Jungkook. Get ready, we're going to attack soon." Namjoon sighed in defeat.

"Where does her descendant live? Bring her to me right now." Jisung demanded. It was only her and Yoongi in the palace as the othrs immediately sprung into action after the new of Taehyung's plan.
"She's somewhere in this village if I'm not mistaken. She goes to the school Namjoon and Aera used to go to." Yoongi answered. "Honestly, what good would it do to bring her here? It's not like she can remember it."
"I think you've forgotten but I'm a witch. I'll try to revive her ancestor's memories." Jisung answered. "We'll get more information before they arrive."
"Will Aera join the fight later?" Yoongi asked.
"No, she might die. Let us handle it." Jisung said. "Why do you ask?"
"I just have a really bad feeling."
