Jimin let out a cry of pain as Taehyung dug the silver knife into his thigh. He held onto Taehyung despite the knife going in deeper. He threw the boy off of him.

"Fuck." Jimin cursed. He felt dizzy from the amount of blood he lost and times Taehyung hit his head. Namjoon was busy trying to keep Jungkook down to help the other.

"Jimin watch out!" Hoseok shouted. Jimin looked to his side and saw Taehyung inches away from stabbing the knife through his chest. He braced himself, knowing he couldn't move from his injuries. In the blink of an eye, Taehyung was sent flying in the opposite direction. His wounds began to heal quickly and he knew who was behind this.

Jisung used up the last bit of her energy and passed out. The last spell she casted took a toll both physically and emotionally after all.

"Joon go after Taehyung, we can handle this." Jimin instructed. With one last hit, Namjoon ran towards the direction Taehyung went. Jimin cracked his neck and charged at Jungkook. He stopped in his tracks completely when he saw a smaller figure appear behind and pull Jungkook into a hug. "Aera what the hell are you doing? Get back!"

"Take Jisung and Hoseok to be treated and trust me!" Aera shouted. Jungkook tried to shrug her off but she wouldn't budge.

"The last time I left the two of you alone you were kidnapped and almost killed!" Jimin argued. Jungkook peeled Aera off of him and threw her aside easily. "Shit."

Aera was quick to get on her feet and avoided some of his hits. His fighting style was similar to Namjoon's so she could predict only some of his moves. She forced him into a hug and held on once again for dear life.

"Please Jimin. Hoseok might die he doesn't have anymore of those pills Jisung made." Aera coughed. "If he wanted to kill us— me especially he would have done it by now. There's something in him that's still fighting."

"If you die Jisung will end me. Come back alive promise me that." Jimin disappeared from sight and into the house Aera was previously in and retrieved Hoseok and Jisung's unconscious body. He looked back one last time before making a run for it.

Jimin entered the evacuation center, alerting the civilians inside. They welcomed the king with a bow as whispers filled the quiet space. Jin emerged from the crowd and immediately knew what to do.

"Bring them to the clinic area asap." Jin instructed. The crowd made way as Jimin followed Jin's lead. They reached a secluded area with a bed and medical supplies. Jimin laid Hoseok carefully on the bed before doing the same to his wife. He kissed her forehead and squeezed her cold hand.

"You did great today my love." Jimin murmured. He looked over at Jin who was working double time. Sometimes, Jimin would forget he was majoring in the medical field.

"You should reassure your people while I patch him up. They looked uneasy for a moment." Jin suggested. Jimin sighed and decided to take the suggestion. He did have a responsibility. He walked out back into the open as the people gathered around him.

"My king what is happening?" A woman spoke up.

"What happened to sir Hoseok and the queen?" Another asked.

"My king are we losing?" A child asked.

"I hear your worries, my beloved people. Please do not fret because there are still people on the surface fighting and winning against them." Jimin announced. "Your queen had just used up her energy to save me and to bring us one step closer to victory. Hoseok had offered up his body to make sure that she does just that." Sighs of relief sounded across the open space.

"This is why hybrids shouldn't exist." A man grumbled. He thought that Jimin didn't hear him, but was shocked when the king appeared in front of him.

"May you repeat what you just said? I don't think I heard you right." Jimin politely asked. Despite his kind smile something did not feel right.

"I said what I said. That's why hybrids shouldn't exist. They don't deserve to be alive." The man said. "He's only causing destruction and death."

"Than shall I say you don't deserve to live too?" Jimin shot back. "Don't think I'm ignorant, I'm the king and I am aware of your actions. You've only been causing trouble in open spaces from being drunk and abusing your wife. Or is it your wife that doesn't deserve to live? The reason why you beat her then was because she was coming home late from her job at the palace while you drink to your heart's content."

The man froze up at the mention of his actions. He looked down, ashamed. His wife had left him and relocated somehwere unknown after a divorce with him. Jimin only paced a hand on his shoulder and gave it a long squeeze.

"Don't judge them if you don't know what they've been through. They didn't ask for whatever happened to them to happen. They didn't ask to be treated how they were treated." Jimin said. "My cousin, the hybrid you all hate, went through abuse and torture because of who he is. He was brainwashed and forced to do things like this. His brother was betrayed and ousted out by humans. I don't even deserve to be on this throne. What's your excuse?"

The whole evacuation place went quiet as the hard hitting speech settled in their mind. The crowd cleared as they rested with many thoughts. Jimin sighed and ran a hand through his hair. It wasn't the most professional thing to do but he wanted them to face the reality and not just their fears. He walked back into the clinic area and laid on the bed beside Jisung. Jin was still working up on patching up Hoseok.

"How did it go?" Jin asked.

"I assured them everything would be fine. After, I explained a couple of things." Jimin mumbled.

"Yeah, I heard. Your father would be very proud of you if he were still here." Jin said. "Do you wanna know why I took a medical course?"

"Why?" Jimin asked.

"My father killed himself when my mother had been pregnant with me. The reason why he did was because he was unable to save someone. It was your father he couldn't save." Jin started. Jimin looked at him with wide eyes. "My mother dreaded for me to take the course but I wanted to. I wanted to know why my father would do that... so while I was an intern I went to the hospital he worked with and met one of the staff who assisted in that surgery."

"Jin I don't blame your father or any—"

"Thank you." Jin mumbled. "Anyway, I asked him what made my father like that. He told me that the king only wanted to see his son back at the palace and my father wanted to grant his wish. But your father died on the operating table. My father couldn't handle the guilt and you know the rest."

"I'm sorry, Jin." Jimin said. He felt bad for the latter but Jin only shot him a reassuring smile.

"Imm not mad about it or anything. A tragedy took me here and I made great friends." Jin reassured. He finished up the last couple of stitches and placed the blood tube in a safe position so he would feed as he slept. A sniffle caught his attention and he turned to Jimin. His shoulders jerked from time to time as he tried his best to hide his tears. "Jimin, what's wrong?"

"What do I need to do to save everyone?" Jimin whimpered. "What should I do to make things right?"

"I don't know what else you can do Jimin but I know you've done a lot." Jin comforted. "Even the smallest efforts can lead to something big. Don't think you aren't enough because of it."
