"You guys really are persistent." Taehyung laughed. He grimaced at the bitter taste of the animal blood he had fed on. His injuries healed faster as Namjoon approached the area. "Can't a man get some revenge?"

"You are no man if you make choices based on emotions. You're just a puppet to your emotions." Namjoon shot back. "What good do you get from killing them when they did nothing wrong?"

"Justice." Taehyung answered almost instantly. "Justice for my family, justice for myself."

"Wake the fuck up that isn't justice, it's just pure murder. They're not the ones who did it to you; they're long dead Taehyung please." Namjoon corrected. "Just give up okay? With Jin, Jisung and Jimin on our side we can get you a lighter sentence."

Taehyung frowned as he saw someone in him— someone he missed dearly. Maybe it was one of the other reasons why he saved him. Maybe it was because he resembled his dear deceased brother and it didn't help that they had the same name.

"I'll give you a chance too to join my side once more Namjoon. I don't want to kill you." Taehyung looked at him with pleading eyes but Namjoon shook his head.

"You deserve a second chance at life Taehyung. Stop dwelling on the distant past and move to the present. You're not alone." Namjoon felt a bittersweet smile come onto his face.

"Why do you all keep saying that? Let go this, move on that! If it were that easy then shouldn't the present be different now? Should I still be feeling the pain it brings even if it's been a long time? The only time I'll stop is when they're gone."

Namjoon clutched on the handle of his Telum as his eyes tried to read the man before him. He feared that Taehyung would attack not to kill, but enough to knock him out and do the unspeakable to him once more. Footsteps echoed in the quiet place and came Min Yoongi.

"Hyung! You're finally here." Taehyung chirped, a smile on his perfect face. The smile faded as he saw his friend not dressed to kill. He wore a white shirt and light denim ripped jeans. His hair was a mess as some of his bangs stuck to his sweaty forehead.

"Taehyung, please give Namjoon's words some consideration. It's time to give up and move on." Yoongi said. "We've done enough damage."

"After all these years supporting me and not making me lose sight of my goal you decide to make me back out now? Hyung I thought you were on my side." Taehyung huffed in disbelief. He couldn't believe Yoongi.

"That was my mistake." Yoongi said. Namjoon placed a hand on his shoulder in an attempt to comfort him. The elder only had a sad smile. "I should have taught you not to. I should have guided you better. I'm all to blame."

"What do you expect to happen after this?" Taehyung asked. He was beyond pissed, not expecting his older brother figure, the person who stayed by his side all these years, to betray him. Something inside snapped in Taehyung as the rage built up.

"We both go to jail or we can both go into hiding." Yoongi answered. "I won't leave you alone. And if they give you a death penalty I'll take the blame."

"Enough nonsense. I will kill them all and you will come back to your senses or I will kill you too." Taehyung hissed. Yoongi pushed Namjoon away into a tree as Taehyung charged towards them. He didn't flinch as Taehyung dug the blade into his stomach.

"Taehyung that's enough!"

The familiar voice caused Taehyung to freeze. He turned his head and felt his heart drop when he saw her.

Her descendant.

"Shin Ara? What are you doing here?" Namjoon coughed. He got up, using the tree as a support. Taehyung took a step back as she approached him.

"I brought her here." Yoongi answered. He pulled the blade from his stomach and threw it aside. "I thought you would be able to settle the past if we brought her here."

"She is not the same one as the one I knew 200 years ago—"

"I may not be her but I have her blood and memories, V." Ara cut off. She closed the distance between them making Taehyung freeze. "Jisung activated the memories hidden away. If only I knew when I first saw you I would have said something. Please, put an end to everything. It's time to let go."

"It's your fucking fault this all happened! I hate—"

"If you hated me why haven't you killed me? If you hate me why did you sleep with me that night?" Ara asked. "Please Taehyung. I didn't want to hurt you in the first place. I only told them to protect you."

"Lies! Why would you do that to protect me!" Taehyung argued.

"A witness said that it was a child from the palace. They thought it was you and were going to kill you." Ara explained. "I thought it would save you but they lied. I'm sorry."

"What did they pay for you to do this to me?" Taehyung growled. "Why would you betray your own brother?"

"Because I love you." Ara said bluntly. She took the silver knife from the ground and put it in Taehyung's hand. She brought it up to her neck and let it press against her thing skin.  "And if you won't believe me then kill me and your child."

Child...?

Taehyung's eyes trailed down to her stomach. It was there, despite her baggy clothes he saw the tiny bump. Memories of that night filled Taehyung's head as it finally clicked in him.

"Why are you doing this?" Taehyung asked.

"I would gladly die if it meant you would stop doing this. I would gladly die if it means my words and love would reach you." Ara said. Taehyung tightened his grip on the knife before tossing it aside. He let out a frustrated shout and punched the nearest tree.

"Will you surrender?" Namjoon asked.

"Why should I?" Taehyung asked. Everyone knew it was a question for himself as the situation made things worse for him.

"Would you want your child to die too? He or she is a hybrid too." Yoongi asked. "You have the opportunity, why not take it?"

A heart-wrenching scream broke through the intense silence.

The sound of Jeon Jungkook's scream to be exact.
