"Josh?"
He mentioned one hummed, confirming he heard his name called softly from the other side of the couch.
"Could I maybe, like, uhm... cuddle up a bit?" He could see the hesitation on Josh's face. "I promise, i'm not trying anything!" He quickly tried to explain himself, not wanting to make Josh think he meant anything else with it than just comfort. "I'm just... cold."

Josh observed him, obviously doubting whether he should or not, but tyler's eyes were sincere. And sad. And Josh's heart had bled already when he heard the boy's story.
"Uhm, y-yeah, sure." He wasn't sure. But he just couldn't resist to welcome the boy into arms. So he slouched down the couch a bit, plenty of space for Tyler to scoot into. And the latter did, gently cuddling up to Josh's much warmer body.

Both minds (and maybe hearts) were racing, uncomfortable but so comfortable at the same time.

Tyler was so conflicted, he was so used to thinking he didnt want this, he didnt need this, he didnt deserve this. Nobody cared for him, nobody ever really cared for him. On one hand he was convinced that Josh didnt really care either. He was probably just lonely now Brendon was gone and needed just anyone around. But at the exact same time he felt like Josh was honest. And so far, nothing had proved him otherwise. But why? And why did he feel so damn comfortable around him?

Josh had his own internal battle. He knew he didnt really do anything wrong, but he was just so scared. What if Brendon would get mad at him? He really, really, really wouldnt know how to deal with that. Maybe he should cut this off right now? Send Tyler home, scrub himself clean, get to bed and not get out until Brendon was back. Josh sighed, knowing he was freaking out. He only noticed then, that Tyler, with his cheek resting high upon his chest, had fallen asleep. He couldn't help that his heart melted a tiny bit at this.
