me, them, they, us?

He was almost giddy, when he noticed Josh and Brendon only drove off after Tyler was up in his apartment. It was such a small thing to do after an already crazy evening.
He let himself drop on his bed, face buried into his pillow, to hide out the smile that was involuntarily creeping up his face.
He groaned into the pillow, a happy, yet frustrated groan of 'what-the-fuck-is-happening-to-me'. Was any of this even really happening? He was absolutely sure everything was nothing more than a dream and he would wake up any second now.
But no matter how long Tyler kept unwillingly smiling into his pillow, he didn't wake up. He was awake. Just to make sure, he pinched his own arm, hard, only to flinch when it actually hurt. Okay. Okay, so he was awake and this happened.

He turned to his back, before sitting up, his hands clamping his own cheeks trying to push them down into neutral. He had to stop smiling at some point. He jumped off the bed, into the bathroom to brush his teeth. Watching himself in the mirror as he did just that, he couldn't help but stare.
He wasn't sure he even fully recognized the one staring back at him. He looked the same, yet... different. He blushed more when he noticed the soft pink color lingering on his cheeks.
Who even was this, smiling, blushing boy. Tyler shook his head before spitting the toothpaste into the sink. Who. Even. Was. This.

He pulled off his shirt, dropping it somewhere on the floor, before stepping out of his pants, leaving them wherever it was between the bathroom and his bed. He flicked off the light switch, stumbling the last steps towards his bed in the dark. Once there, he crawled under the sheets and sighed. His bed was cold, reminding him of his 'real life'. He sighed again as he turned to his side, unable to help the warmth spreading across his chest as he thought back at this evening.

He was absolutely still overwhelmed by the fact that Josh had remembered, and just the fact that they took him there was mind blowing. He just couldn't wrap his mind around any of it. Them, as perfect as they together are, taking him on a date, wanting him to go on a date with them. It meant.. it actually meant they were seriously considering a third person into their world. As it was him. It was.. Tyler.

But no matter how hard it was for him to believe or understand, he was going to accept it. He could no longer deny his own feelings towards them, he was curious, he was trying to open himself up to whatever was possibly going to happen. He was trying to tell himself he maybe deserved this, after all the bad times. Maybe Josh and Brendon were the one to get him out of it. Maybe times would change.

He turned to his back again, his mind running wild with him. He wanted this. He wanted to find out if he was meant to be with them. He realized all to well it might not work, but what if it did? Was he actually going to be with two guys? Two to think of, two to care for, two to... maybe, love?
No matter how strange the concept might be, being in a relationship with two men, he was so willing to give it his all. He wondered if they were giving it their all too, but then realizing right away they already did.

They at some point must've talked about their feeling towards him. Had Josh been the first one to confess? Brendon? Did they both like him equally, or maybe one was 'in the lead'? Had they struggled with it? At some point they discussed this whole dating thing. Talking about opening their solid relationship up for someone else. Adding someone because they both saw something in him. They took the plunge already by doing this. They were in the lead, their initiative. They wanted to try it with him.

He couldn't repeat this enough to himself, hoping at some point it would start to make sense. He noticed that dumb smile was back, and he rolled his eyes in the dark. For almost the first time ever he wished he had a friend who he could call, just to ramble about everything. He never had the urge to share but right now he had. The problem was just that the only people he could possibly text, were the two he wanted to endlessly ramble about.
