While deep within the castle in Radiant Garden, Master Xehanort watched the broken keyblade master that was Mara. Her body chained down by tendrils of darkness, all the while her amber gaze remainded fixated on the ground. Her fragile heart slowly being submerged into the darkness that was Xehanort. The old man smirked, walking over to the barely conscious woman. Who's once brave expression had faded into that of hopelessness. And this brought Xehanort an immense amount of joy. He was so close he could taste it. Brushing his fingertips against Mara's cheek, she tensed up at his alien touch.
Mara suddenly beginning to fight against the darkness, thrashing around angrily. As Mara could feel it. That sickly blackness which threatened to eat her alive. Crawling, molding her broken heart for dark purposes. And she could do nothing but cry and fight to her dismay. It was clear to Xehanort,Mara still had quite abit of spirit left. Even if she was no longer the whole person she use to be. Her resilience continued, burning brighter than any star. "My,my there's still some bite to you eh, my dear?" Xehanort commented as Mara angrily pulled against the tendrils. As they simply increased their grip, tightening so much around Mara's arms she swore she could lose circulation.
She released a hoarse yelp into the air, allowing Xehanort to take a good look at Mara. For her flawless alabaster skin seemed to glow with the sun's grace. While those platinum orbs of hers reflected the very power of the sun itself. Blistering, and harsh. But warm could come from its gentle touch. Mara's long flowing raven locks fell down her wides in gentle waves. Stopping at her lower back, she was a lovely creature. Ones whos eyes held power and compassion. "I see how you made him fall for you." Xehanort mused catching Mara's attention as she glared towards the old man.
Mara never once trusted Xehanort, even back when he appeared in the "Land of Departure" with Ventus in hand. Mara felt no good could come from this man. She recalled doting on young Ven, her love that of an elder Sister. Mara could feel the malice rippling of Xehanort all those years ago. And when she realized Terra would later on choose to follow him. Mara had hoped that her feelings for Terra would deter him from leaving. But she was wrong. Terra had fallen into the depth of darkness and despair. Far beyond Mara's reach which she hated to admit. And it was all Xehanort's fault.
"Don't you dare talk about him." Mara breathed her words surprising Xehanort as he himself was never able to make the young woman speak. She would only speak to his younger self or Terra. But even then Mara would never say anything of use. She would merely cry beg for Terra to come to his senses. "My, talkative when it comes to him. Tell me...why do you continue to fight the darkness? It is apart of who we all are. Light's true essence is darkness. You deny darkness then you deny your own heart itself." Xehanort informed as Mara shook her head, not believing this horrid man's words as she hissed.
"Light will always fight darkness....as long as darkness exists. I won't...submit to you or the darkness." Mara stated her words irritating Xehanort who increased the dark tendrils which bound Mara. Darkness which continued to eat at Mara's heart at a rapid pace. Tears escaped Mara's eyes as she released a shrill cry into the air. To Xehnaort's amusement, as he witnessed Mara's gold pupils slowly begin to fade in and out of a pure violet hue. "Yes." He boasted as Mara continued to cry out in pain as Xehanort cackled "Hate me! Hate yourself! Fall into darkness Mara!" He mused as Mara soon fell unconcious. Her body becoming limp before slumping to her knees, with the tendrils still holding her down.
"Im afraid even the strongest heart like yours has already began to descent my dear." Xehanort stated as he smirked at the sleeping Mara all the while appearing in a portal of darkness. Terranort appeared before Xehanort, the young man eying the unconcious Mara. His gold orbs holding no affection for the woman before he turned his attention to Xehanort. "We have an intruder." He informed as Master Xehanort turned back to Mara. His smirk never leaving. "It matter not. Our plan is already reaching its final stage. Our final vessel will awaken soon." Xehanort said as Terranort simply nodding. Saying that he would keep the intruder at bay until the time was right.
All the while the single sliver of light which Mara had treasured deep within the cracked heart. Began to pulse, giving off a dim white light. Calling for its other piece before all was lost. Causing Riku to grip onto his now searing hot chest. Gritting his teeth Riku walked on, knowing the pain would soon fade once he found Mara. But that would appear more difficult than Riku realized as in a mist of black appeared a swarm of heartless. All the while behind them stood none other than Terranort. His calm demeanor never leaving as he ordered the heartless to attack Riku.
Who was still in pain was able to dodge roll out of the way. His chest continuing to radiate with pain, so much that Riku released a cry. While the heartless attacked once more, their swift movements catching Riku off guard. As Riku called fourth his dark firaga spell. Black flames erupted from the tip of his keyblade. Twisting and turning into the air before fanning out across the lush green landscape. His flames destroying the feeble Heartless. Leaving only Terranort. Riku gripped onto his keyblade tightly, his chest still burning but he would continue.
"Turn away, or this will get ugly." Terranort stated his voice devoid of any emotion. Riku shook.his head as he declared "You made this ugly when you took Mara!" He shouted out. The name of the woman seeming to bounce off Terranort. As if she were nothing. And yet something deep down within him cried out at the sound of her name. Wishing to be with her once more. A desire that had transferred over to that of obsession.
"She is Mine." Terranort breathed his voice filled with malice. Blinking Riku, prepared himself for one battle. While hoping Mara would be successful in her own.
