Deep within her slumber Mara now stood within the world called Radiant Garden. Her hand now clutching onto her old Keyblade from the past which confused Mara. Who turned to see the unconscious form of Aqua slipping into the darkness below. And like before Mara ran, desperate to save her friend once more. Tears gleaming in her eyes as Mara pleaded with Aqua not to leave her. That she could not save Terra and Ven all by herself. "I need you Aqua!" Mara cried, her grip on Aqua's hand slipping even more. So much that the two women then found themselves beneath the surface now able to see the never-ending darkness below. It scared Mara and she wished more than ever to not allow Aqua to fall. Not again. Not like before. "Please Aqua-!" Mara continued to cry out hoping to cause something to stir within Aqua. But it did little to no good. As Mara felt the void beginning to pull the two women even deeper into the depths.
Gritting her teeth Mara held onto Aqua with both hands, and struggled with all of her might to pull Aqua to safety. Earning a light grunt from Aqua who slowly began to regain conciousness. Now noticing the circumstances she was in. Aqua smiled rather sorrowfully, her hand now upon Mara's as she spoke. "You can save them and me too. The power has always...been with you with you." Aqua informed her freehand pointing to Mara's heart. Earning a small smile from Aqua as Mara asked what she meant. That she knew she was not capable of saving them. That she had failed and it was all of her fault. "No, were waiting..I'm waiting for you Mara." Aqua began before prying herself from Mara's grip causing her to fall into the black pit below. Mara cried out to Aqua once more before clutching onto her own heart. Still not sure why her heart was so special.
"A heart like yours will not fail, it will bring us all together again." The voice of Aqua sounded which resonated within Mara who slowly stood. Keyblade in hand Mara aimed the weapon towards the puddle of darkness before him. A vibrant stream of light pouring from the Keyblade and into the puddle. Which quickly was wiped away and replaced with a keyhole. One that enveloped Mara in it's blinding light before dimming into nothing. Leaving the keyhole before Mara who stood silently. Declaring that she would not fail this time. For this time she would save her friends, no her family and bring them back together once again. And it started with Aqua. Shaking herself awake from her slumber, Mara quickly rose from the comfort of her bed. To see the sleeping image of Riku which made Mara smile. He looked adorable as he slept, so much infact that Mara found herself leaning over the handsome boy. Careful as she took a strand of his silver hair between her fingertips, unable to hide the happiness he brought to her life.
With this in mind Mara planted her lips upon Riku's cheek before leaving him. Closing the door quietly behind her as the adrenaline rush filled Master made her way to Master Yen Sid's office. Who seemed very surprised to see Mara awake at such an hour. "Is everything alright Mara?" Yen Sid questioned as he offered Mara to take a seat which she did. But as she spoke Yen Sid realized what Mara intended to do. And absolutely could not allow it. "I'm going to the Realm of Darkness, Aqua has been there alone for so long. I have to save her." Mara declared her voice filled with determination as she spoke. But determination meant nothing without the power to follow through. Yen Sid knew this truth all too well. Good intentions could only get you so far.
"You intend to venture into the Realm of Darkness in your current condition? You are vastly unprepared to go there. Your heart would not beable to take the darkness around every corner. It will swallow you whole Mara." Yen Sid informed knowing his words may have sounded harsh but it was the truth. Mara had to know this. She was far too underpowered to save her friends now. She would need more training and should hone that unique power she held within her heart. Perhaps only then would Mara have a chance. But then again power is not without concequences. Mara would indeed have to pay for that power of her whether she wished for it or not. Hearing this Mara lowered her gaze to the ground. Knowing what Master Yen Sid said was infact true, for even Riku had told her this before. But she just couldn't let her friends suffer any longer. Mara had to do something even if it was fruitless. She had to try.
"I know I need more training, I'll do anything to save them! So please-" Mara began her voice breaking in mid sentence as she spoke. Pleading Yen Sid for his assistance. And with was with a heavy sigh that Yen Sid rejected Mara's wishes to jumping into the "Realm of Darkness" however he would indeed aid her in her quest to become stronger. "I will leave you to train with Sora and Riku. Riku being your teacher I'm sure with sometime you will regain that spark you've always had within you. And you will beable to conquer any darkness." Yen Sid informed with a light smile as Mara thanked Yen Sid for all his help. Determined more than ever to train and save her friends. Promising that she would not fail them. This time she would be strong enough to save them all. That was a promise.
