Mara's body remained chained within the bounds of darkness. With the darkness threatening to submerge her very heart. Using her for ill intent, this was something Mara could not allow. And yet with her heart broken, she was limited. Mara took a shallow breathe, her mind feeling as if she had taken a dive into the ocean itself. Her hands struggling to break the watery surface which was reality. While the hands of darkness seemed to burst from the dark depths below. Pulling Mara deeper into the waters of darkness.
But she couldnt let this cold feeling take over. The desire to become nothingness forever knocked on Mara's door. And she had always refused it. But now she was not too sure that was the best choice of action. Perhaps all of this would end if she simply gave in. Sighing lightly Mara for a brief moment allowed the darkness to take hold. The strong arms dragging the maiden deeper into the darkness. Light becoming almost that of a memory.
As before Mara's very eyes appeared Terra himself. The man she had fallen for so long ago. His deep cerulean orbs smiling towards Mara. All the while he held his hand out for Mara, beckoning her to him. "We can be together, forever." Terra whispered, his words truly what Mara had desired so long ago. Before any of this. Xehanort, keyblade war. Before then the both of them were simply 2 people in love.
Tears escaped Mara's cheeks as she extended her right hand out for her beloved. The tendrils loosening their grip slightly as Terra smiled towards Mara, watching as the darkness began to slowly illuminate her heart to his glee. "Its what we've always wanted. For all eternity." Terra breathed his words captivating Mara as her amber orbs continued to fade into a deep purple. "Yes....with you." Mara whispered in a trance like manner as Terra smirked at his handiwork.
Mara's hand lay mere centimeters from Terra's. His smile widening as the darkness he commanded awaited to devour Mara entirely. Awakening her for a new and true purpose. But something stopped Mara, for someone was calling out her name. At the top of their lungs, Mara feeling a sense of warmth envelope her heart. Forcing the darkness at bay. "I'm here for you!" The voice called out filled with determination and above all light.
Light which seemed to awaken the sliver of light Mara's fractured heart held. Terra stepped away fearfully, the blinding light burning the silhouette of Terra to burn away who hissed angrily at the bright light. "What?!" Terra exclaimed in fear as Mara slowly peered abit of a distance away from Terra to see the brief image of a young man. The light catching his silver locks, the boy's calm demeanor seemed to dissolve as he called out for Mara. "Don't fall deeper into the darkness! You can't give up now!" The boy exclaimed, his words impacting Mara who gasped. Never once meeting or ever seeing him prior.
And yet Mara felt something, a silent tug. Egging her to the young man who seemed to bring some confidence back to Mara. Who for the first time in years cracked a smile. "Your right." Mara breathed, not sure the boy could hear her. As she spoke, but she continued noticing the dark tendrils which had bound her now began to sizzle away due to the light. Mara quietly stood within the dark pit, her body continuing to pulsars with light. As Mara witnessed the silver haired boy fighting toe to toe with Young Xehanort. The young boy jumped back abit, his grip tightening on his weapon before he charged towards his enemy.
Young Xehanort smriking at his attempt before sending a sound wave of darkness towards the boy. Who winced slightly, as the wave pelted the young man. Welps appearing on his person, but the boy never stopped. He released a loud battle cry, before pushing past the sonic attack. His legs beginning to buckle before him, causing a gasp to escape Mara's lips in concern. The young boy then slashed at Young Xehanort, who jumped back surprised at the sudden attack. As he touched his now ripped black cloak, where a fairly large gash stretched from the right shoulder to the abdomen.
Glaring at the silver haired boy the Black Cloaked man smirked. "It doesn't matter if you strike me down. Fate has already decided where Mara place is. And that is here in the darkness." He mocked as the silver haired boy shook his head "Let her decide that!" He combated as Mara couldn't help but to smile once more at the boy's determination. Before finally sensing the remainder of her heart which lay within the boy's chest. As Mara's own broken heart began to pulse and give off a brilliant white light, now reacting to one another.
"You." Mara whispered as she stood a few feet from the doorway. Her hand outstretched for the vision on the young man. As she whispered into the air, hoping he could hear her. Know that she was here fighting, and waiting to be reunited with her heart. And that boy was the key to that. "I'm here, and I won't stop fighting....ever." She muttered her words noticed by the boy who cracked a smile. " I think she agrees with me." He commented, his answer angering Young Xehanort who suddenly appeared before the boy. Mere inches from him screaming "You liar! You don't even know her!" Grabbing the young boy by the head and slamming him into the earth below.
The boy gasped in pain, as his skull felt as if it were about to break. As his body became stiff due to the brute force, tears escaping Mara's eyes as she cried out to the boy. Pain evident in her tone. "No!" Her cries triggering something in the boy as he struggled against the strong grip. His hands holding onto the attackers, sinking his nails into the man's causing him to yelp. Releasing the silver haired boy, who remained on the ground. Still recovering from the attack. " You should have minded you tongue boy, you were not meant to die today. Though I will make an exception." Young Xehanort stated as he held his own keyblade to the the young man's chest. Who gasped in fear knowing what was to come.
But what Xehanort and Young Xehanort had failed to realize. Was that the boy was never alone. And most of all never powerless. As Mara banged her fists against the door mirror image before her. Noticing it crack under her assault, as the desperate need to aid the boy rushed through her. She would never allow anyone to fall into darkness ever again. With a final punch the glass shattered, while Mara quickly reached out through the shards. Willing herself to help the boy. As a sudden gale of wind rushed towards Young Xehanort. Forcing him away from the fallen boy.
The wind confusing Young Xehanort, as the wind seemed to collect infront of the boy protectively. The wind soon taking the form of Mara herself, who's back was to Riku. Who struggled to his feet, his eyes wide in awe at her appearance. Mara stared towards Young Xehanort, he too shocked and now angry as he saw the failure to truly take over her heart. "How?!" He exclaimed angrily as Mara turned her amber gaze to the young boy behind her. Smiling warmly towards him "I heard you, in the darkness." She stated as the boy struggled to stand.
Gripping onto his keyblade as he stood beside Mara. A cocky smile forming on his lips "I hoped you would." He said as he held his keyblade in front of them, intending to protect Mara. Saying that she was not whole yet, and wasn't safe to fight yet. "I know." Mara said as she gripped onto the boy's free hand. Her touch so warm, and soothing to the boy. Who's cheeks turned a bright scarlet in embarrasment. " Ill help you." She whispered as the warmth from her touch radiated through his entire body. Traveling to the keyblade itself which gave off a dim white light with Mara's influence. "I do not condone killing, but this should stall him for a time." Mara informed as the boy nodded at his now glowing keyblade.
While Xehanort glared, his temper only rising as he witnessed Mara's willingness to betray them. To betray him, and leavr him alone....again. And he couldn't allow that.
