Young Xehnaort released a loud hiss as he ran towards the two with rage. His own dark keyblade covered in darkness, while the young boy's gave off a dim white glow. With such power coursing through his veins so loud he could hear it in his own ears. Mara stared towards the rage filled Xehanort, the spitting image of Terra shrouded in darkness. Which only brought more sadness to Mara's already fragile heart. Something that she and the young boy shared, as he gripped onto his now burning chest. Reacting to the torment within the young maiden, who couldn't help but to shed tears for her lover.
"Why...did this have to happen to us?" Mara breathed her voice wracked with such pain it caused Young Xehanort to cease his assault. Mere inches from Riku's glimmering keyblade, Xehanort's grip on his keyblade lessening. Until he ultimately dropped it, gripping onto his head and screaming out into the air. Confusing the silver haired boy who remained on guard, knowing how deceiving the darkness could truly be.
But he felt that this was truly no ruese, as Xehanort's locks faded back and fourth from silver to a auburn hue. Startling Mara as she called out for him. One more time with a shaky voice. "Terra." The sound of his name leaving those sweet lips of hers triggered something within Xehanort. His self control waned as the sheer will of Terra overtook the warrior. The man grumbling a this isnt over, before his consciousness faded. Leaving in his place Terra himself. "W-what the?" The silver haired boy questioned as Mara now a mess of sobs couldn't believe her eyes.
After all this time of wishing for just a chance to see him again. To apologize for failing him in the end. But Mara's thoughts were interrupted by Terra himself who spoke urgently to them. "I don't have much time here." Terra began, his ocean blue eyes landing on Mara. And seeing her once again made his heart yearn for her gentle light which always lulled his darkness into submission. The young man wishing to say more to his gold eyed lover.
But would there ever truly be enough time to explain? Was there an easy way to tell her of his own failures? That he had allowed the darkness within him to fester and grow into the monster it had become. A monster that was on the brink of destruction. Averting his gaze to the ground Terra ordered the boy to take Mara far away from this place. And to this Mara refused crying out for him "You cant expect me to leave now! After all this time we-!" Mara began as Terra gripped onto his own chest where his heart remained silent. Submerged within the very pits of darkness out of reach of even thr brightest of light.
"I'm far beyond your reach anymore Mara. You of all people know this." Terra breathed his words harsh yet truthful as Mara shook her head no. "I wont leave you again-" "You dont have a choice! If you stay here you will be swallowed in darkness too! I dont want that for you!" Terra shouted in frustration as Mara bit her bottom lip. Knowing what Terra said was true, but it didnt make it any easier. Struggling to hold back her sobs,Mara stiffled back a nod.
A brief smile appeared on Terra's features as the silver haired not turned to the tear stained Mara. Careful with her as he pulled the woman into his arms, carrying her bridal style. Mara's sobs continuing as the silver haired boy ran away from Terra. His heart heavy as Mara's torment was his own. While remaining in control for a short time, Terra smiled at the thought of finally being able to see her again. And knowing overall Mara was in good hands now.
"Take care of her,Riku." Terra whispered into the air, before allowing the darkness to overtake him once more. While Young Xehanort growled in an annoyed manner. Surprised that Terra still held the will to surface after such a long time. "Even if she isn't here our plan will not fail. Our 13th vessel will be complete regardless of today's events." Young Xehanort commented with a grin. While elsewhere now appearing in the world where Yen Sid,Sora and the others currently stayed. Riku and Mara appeared within this world. The young woman's tears falling silently, as she too remained quiet. As the silver haired boy took her to greet a familiar face. Yen Sid himself who's face seemed to calm at Mara.
"It brings me joy to see your safe return to us Mara." Yen Sid greeted, his hands clutching Mara's who still remained silent. The past events with Terra weighing heavily upon her mind and heart. The silver haired boy averted his gaze to the ground. Hoping to hide his own sadness with the ordeal. The young man felt the sting of jealousy at the warmth she held for Terra. The devotion that she was filled with. That very same devotion had continued even in Terra's most darkest of times. She was truly loyal to him. And him alone. This was apparent to the silver haired boy, who clenched his hands into right fists.
Yen Sid noticing the tension in the air, hoped to lighten the mood. Informing Mara that her heart had called for a kindred spirit. Someone whom shared suffering such as she, and this had brought the silver haired boy to her. Mara slowly turned her gaze to meet the teal orbs of the startling handsome boy. Mara had not realized it prior, she asked his name. To which the boy answered "Riku." Riku. Mara didn't realize it then, but that name would be one of many that she would cherish and fight for.
