Imagine; you're on the phone with Steve when you go into labour. And at the same time a fight starts at Steve end of the phone call .

'Hey baby...' you smile as you pick up the phone.

'Hey y/n...I thought you might want talk since it's the babies due date...' he cuts to the chase.

'Yeah I would like that...just hearing your voice already calms me down...'

'How has he or she been behaving?'

'Not very good, isn't back is killing me, I think he or she has your strength...' you chuckle.

'I'll make sure to scold her or him for that when I get back..'

'I'll remind you...'

'And how are you doing?'

'I'm okay, I'd rather have you here but I guess you already figured that one out...'

'Yeah I did, I'll be home in one day, we're just packing up, this lead was a total bust, led to nothing but an empty warehouse...'

'Oh, well that sucks...' you say as you grab a glass of water.

'Yes it does, but it also is nice for a change, it will make me be home sooner, so I can meet our little princess or prince, and if she can wait a little longer I might even be there when she or he gets born..'

Suddenly there's a lot of noise in the background and you listen closely.

'Steve?, Steve baby what's happening?' You ask worried.

'Agh!' You Let our a yelp as you drop the glass on the floor.

'Y/n...are you okay...'

'Yes!, agh!' You feel some water running down your legs and everything starts to hurt.

'No, no!, Steve!, the baby!, she's coming!, ahh!'

'I love you y/n!, you're gonna get through this!'

'Steve what's going on?!, What is that noise?' You pant,

'Get down!, we're under attack!' You hear Steve say and the line gets cut off.

'Steve?...Steve?!, Steve!' You start to cry as you drop the phone.

'Agh!' You yell out again as you clutch your stomach.

'No please!' You cry out.

'Y/n!' Wanda rushes in and you fall to your knees.

'Come on lets get you to sickbay...' she helps you up and helps you get to the sickbay.

'She's having the baby...' Dr. Cho says as she puts on gloves and lays you down.

'We have to wait for him...I can't do it without him!' You cry.

'I'm here, the others are on their way but as if right now, you have to listen to dr. Cho, I'm here and I'm not leaving okay...'

'Okay y/n, just try to relax as much as possible...we can't wait, the baby is gonna come now...' Dr. Cho speaks up and you shake your head.

Wanda takes your hand in hers and gives a reassuring squeeze.

'He's in trouble!, they're under attack I'm gonna lose him Wanda!'

'If you don't cooperate you're going to lose the baby too, now I need you to start pushing on the count of ten...' dr. Cho replies.

'Y/n, look at me, I'm here...I'm right here...' Wanda says and you nod and look at her.

'3....2....1...now push!'

You start to push as hard as you can while screaming out. Not only in pain, but also in sadness.

What you don't know is that stew is doing the same thing at the same time, pushing himself to go through and win this battle so he can go home to you.

'Steve watch out!' Bucky says but it's too late, he gets hit and falls to the ground.

Back in the facility the baby's out and you just feel so tired.

'Hey y/n, it's a girl...you got a beautiful girl...'

You smile tiredly as Wanda hols the baby and shows her to you.

'Dr. Cho, something's wrong with her, she's not fully responding anymore...'

'Y/n, you gotta stay awake!, Hey!' Wanda says as she rocks the baby.

'Take the baby and move out of the way, I'm gonna need some space here Wanda, contact the others!'

'Y/n...' dr. Cho shines her flashlight in your eyes but you're not responding anymore.

It's silent in the house, but then the baby starts crying and slowly you get up and turn on the light on the nightstand.

You get up and walk to the nursery and turn on the light in the room, making the room a light shade of pink.

'Shhh, shhh, mommy is here..' you softly say as you pick up your daughter and gently place her on your chest as you rock her.

'I'll make a bottle...I'm pretty sure she's hungry...' Steve kisses your head.

'Thank you...' you smile as you yawn.

He walks downstairs and after a while you follow him.

'I'll take her...' Steve says and he gives her a bottle while you yawn again and look at the two.

You lay a hand on his shoulder and flash him a tired smile.

'I love you...' you smile softly.

'I love you too...' he replies as he kisses your head.
