Imagine: you're mission is to make Steve fall in love with you and then give Hydra your location so they can execute him. But you refuse to cooperate.

'You look nice..' Rumlow says as he walks in on you changing.

He tries to give you a kiss but you move away as you pull a shirt over your head.

'It's not for you...' you bluntly reply.

'Someone's having a rough day...' he mutters.

You stay silent as you look at him.

'What?' He asks.

'I'm done, we're done, I'm quitting...'

'The hell you are...'

'I am, nothing you can do about it, you have me this mission expecting me to stay professional but I just can't...you should've kept me in the dark about what you're going to do with him...'

'So what you're saying is that you actually love him back?'

'Yes, Yes I do...'

'You can't quit your mission, you took it and you're finishing it...'

'Watch me...' you reply as you take out your bag with everything in it.

He rushes to you as you try to walk out of the door and he gets a hold on your arm.

'Let me go...'

'So you just don't love me anymore, even when I still love you...'

'You don't love me and you know it, if you loved me you wouldn't have given me that mission...and besides, I'm only a habit to you..' you snarl as you pull your arm away.

'If you leave I will tell everyone...'

'You do that, see how it will turn out, but I can tell you how that will end for you, with a bullet...from my gun....' you reply as you walk away.

Steve: Can you come to my office?

You walk to the office wondering what he's up to now.

As you walk in you see him standing a bit frustrated. There's a recording playing in the background and you listen to it and your heart drops to your stomach.

'Rogers, hydra infiltrated in Shield, until now we've only discovered one mole, y/n y/l/n...she doesn't know we know yet, I need you to confront her..and bring her in...'  Rumlows voice sounds.

'Steve I can explain...' you start but you can already tell he's not going to believe you no matter what you tell him.

'Save it for Nick...' he cuts in.

'Just let me explain Steve...I will come with you but you have to let me explain first..'

'You have two minutes...'

'I thought that this was to make you feel comfortable at SHIELD, I didn't know about Hydra, I- I...found out a couple months ago and I quit...they would tell you if I didn't cooperate...so now they told you...'
