Imagine; this is the first time you see Peter after Ben died, you finally found his killer and you and Peter go after him.

You knock on the door anxiously. You don't know how he's going to react when he sees his niece standing there again.

After 5 years of complete radio-silence you are standing in front of your old home, waiting for someone to answer the door.

'I'll get it!' You hear Peter say.

Oh that voice you've been missing for so long. You two used to be besties for life, sure you were family but your bond with Peter was like those of best friends. You two would only play with each other, even to a point where your mother May thought it wasn't even healthy.

You even have nicknames for each other, Peters was "Mouse" and yours was "Dot".

But after your dad died, after your other best friend died, you started to fight with May. Everyday frustrations could cause wildfires in that house. But this time you had to go back. The reason?

You found Ben's killer

After years of digging you finally found his killer, you finally found the person responsible for his death.

The door opens and there is Peter, almost frown into a functional human being. He changed a little, not much.

'Y/n...' he breathes.

It's hard to read his emotions, he looks happy and sad at the same time. He looks...hurt.

'Hi...' you reply with a small smile.

'Peter Who is it?' May asks.

You shake your head and he hesitates for a second.

'Uh it's MJ, I'm gonna go out for a bit!'

'Okay be back before dinner!'

'I will bye!' He yells and grabs his coat.

He steps out of the door and looks at you for a moment.

'She can't know...' you explain and he nods.

'You found him didn't you?, you found the man responsible for Bens death...'

You nod as you two start walking. Out of the building, through the streets and into the park.

'It wasn't intentional, I stumbled across him by accident....' you explain and you two sit down on the bench facing the almost empty square.

'I started working at this diner, to cover most of my expenses...and we have this regular customer...he brings in other customers, definitely shady...I'm not even supposed to talk about this...'

'And one day he brought in Bens killer, didn't he?' Peter finishes your sentence and you nod as you stare into the distance.

'Yeah...I don't know what to do so I just thought I'd come to you...' you turn your head.

'Well, you came to the right place, but y/n, please just come home...'

'I don't know if I-'

'May misses you and so do I...I miss my friend.. I miss you...Dot' he cuts you off and you feel a lump in your throat.

'I know it's hard to be here, trust me I do...I mean you saw him get stabbed...'

'thank you for bringing that up...' you choke up.

'It would be easier for us if you were here with us...so much easier...'

'It's easier for May because she then doesn't have to be alone at night because you're a crime fighting spider...' you turn to him with tears in your eyes.

'How do you know that?'

'May...'

'Oh...you still have contact?'

'Of course, she's my mother...and to be fair you didn't have a phone 5 years ago...'

'You could've called at least...'

'I know...Pete I'm sorry...'

'For what?'

'For being angry at you...because I should've seen things from your point of view...'

You hug him and close your eyes as you let out a sigh.

'I'll bring him to the police, the guy...just tell me his name and I will bring him over so he can be out in jail...'

It stays silent for a couple seconds and the Peter turns to you.

'Could you at least stay for dinner?'

'I suppose I could...' you smile as you wipe the tears away.
