"What?" Alec asked with shocked eyes and wasn't sure if he heard right. "I'm pregnant...and Jace...he is the father...I...he will hate me." Clary sobbed and Alec was a bit overwhelmed because he had no idea how he should help Clary right now. "He will hate me." Clary sobbed again and threw herself in Alecs arm who froze at first but then he wrapped his arms around the crying woman. "He won't hate you." Alec finally answered and rubbed he back trying to comfort her. It was pretty crazy that his little brother would be a father in less than 9 months probably. "Tissue?" Magnus asked next to Alec and held a tissue in Clarys direction. Clary pulled back from Alecs embrace taking the tissue before she whipped her tears with it. "It doesn't matter...I won't keep it." Clary sniffed and both men tensed looking with a frown at her. "Why? Clary, if it's because of Jace don't. I'm sure he will be really happy...well maybe shocked at first but then he will be happy." Alec answered and Clary shook her head but the tears finally stopped. Alec didn't want that she just got arid of the baby and he knew she only said that because she was scared. She was scared to raise a child on her own but Jace wouldn't let her alone. "But...but what if he won't be there?" Clary asked trying to stop her from crying and Alec smiled at her. He knew his brother and he knew his brother loved her. "What if we meet him tomorrow? If you want we can go with you and you can tell him the truth." Alec suggested and Clary looked with a surprised face at Alec. "You would do that?" She sniffed and Alec nodded not really thinking it was a big deal. "Thank you, Alec." Clary yelped and hugged Alec again making Magnus chuckle. If it was even possible Magnus just fell more in love with Alec after that. "You two are unbelievable." Alec chuckled when Clary pulled back from the hug and he shook his head a little. "You are dating for 3 months and now you'll have a family." Alec added but the 3 months part got a big frown from Clary. "Why 3 months? I and Jace have been dating for at least a year now." Clary answered really confused and Alec rose an eyebrow. "What? Jace told me you have been dating for 3 months and that he just wanted to introduce you to the family at the dinner." Alec explained and Clary looked really irretated now. "No. Alec, I already met your parents like 6 months ago." Clary answered with confusion in her voice and Magnus looked at Alec. Alec couldn't believe that his brother didn't tell him and that he lied about it. But why did Jace do that? Was he scared Clary would break up with him if she saw that he had a brother like Alec? Was Jace ashamed of him? But no one knew about what happened so why should he? "Alexander? Are you okay?" Magnus asked seeing how Alecs brain was working and he looked more upset with every second. "Yes...sure. We can text about tomorrow, yeah? I'm sure it will be okay." Alec tried to sound okay but both Clary and Magnus could hear he wasn't. Magnus gave Clary a litte look to let her know it would be okay and Clary nodded. "Okay...I'm sorry for causing so much trouble." Clary mumbled a bit guiltily because she didn't want Jace and Alec to have a fight because of her. "Don't worry, you don't." Alec answered trying to smile but he was hurt and he was insecure. "Thank you...really. I don't know what I would have done without you." Clary said pushing a hair behind her ear and smiled at them. "No problem...you are a part of this family now. We care for each other." Alec answered looking at her stomach for a short moment and Clary placed a hand on it. "Simon and Izzy wanted to come over in a few. You can stay and hang up with us a bit if you want?" Clary asked with a smile seeming to be clearly more relaxed and Magnus was glad. It sounded nice to hang up with them a bit but he knew Alec was hurt about Jace lying to him. "We don't want to be rude but we have an early morning tomorrow so we will go home and relax a bit." Magnus answered for them and he could feel that Alec was thankful for the answer.
"You aren't rude at all. I hope you'll do well and thanks again." Clary said with a smile and she felt relieved that someone knew now about the baby. She was also glad she didn't have to tell Jace alone. "Are you okay, Alexander?" Was the fisrt thing Magnus asked when they were outside of the house and Alec shrugged. "I don't know...why didn't he just tell me?" Alec asked with an upset look and Magnus took his hand. "I'm sure he has a good explanation. Don't worry, yeah?" Magnus answered and slipped his hand in Alecs giving it a comforting squeez. "Yeah." Alec answered flashing Magnus a little smile and Magnus placed a kiss on his cheek. Alec was still a bit confused and also flashed by the news but he was sure Jace would be a great father...//tbc Why did Jace lie??? 🤔🤔😨❤❤
