"I told you this place isn't so bad," Fallyn exhaled as she shoved her hands in her jean pockets. The wind blew ever so slightly and the clouds engulfed half of the midday sun. The beach in front of them was practically empty. The only people occupying it were Jackson and Dahyun along with Felix and a bunch of his friends. The waves were calm, much like the atmosphere.

"I still have my doubts about this place," JB confessed but it's not terrible, I guess."

"Not terrible, I guess?" She repeated in disbelief. "JB, this is amazing! It's paradise. I don't even want to go back home!"

"I mean, you don't really have a choice."

"You just ruined the moment."

"Sorry... What's so amazing about this place anyway?"

"There's a private beach for starters-"

"I don't get the hype around beaches. Everyone always hangs out around ur then when someone is killed by a shark everyone gets so surprised. I mean, you're asking for it."

"Don't say that! It's a shock because it isn't supposed to happen. Sharks aren't meant to be around the shore."

The vampire raised his hands up in defeat. He wore his sun suit as they walked down the shore side by side.

Silence engulfed them for a few minutes as they just walked and gazed around the scenery around them.

"So, how did the meeting go?" Fallyn initiated conversation again.

"It was alright. We were just trying to find a way to loosen up some rules."

"Why?"

"Because things are changing. We've never had this many humans in the castle and for the first time in so long, things are actually starting to get in place again. Because of Felix, werewolves, witches and vampires actually talk to each other again. And well, Suga is a much better leader than Leo and we are actually getting stuff done."

"If you ask me, it seems that you actually do like being in this place."

He thought for a second.

"I like what it's brought but that's it."

Fallyn rolled her eyes.

"I tried, " she murdered to herself, earning a chuckle from JB.

"Have you talked to Sammy yet?"

"Yep. We had such a long talk about everything that has happened the night you imprisoned me. He also admits he's still terrified of you and the other vampires apart from Taehyung. In fact, last time I saw him, he was looking for Taehyung."

JB shrugged.

"You have to admit though, the night we first met, we were pretty cool. Frightening yet chic, right?"

"Mark almost killed me," she deadpanned as she recalled how his fangs were pressed to her skin.

"We were bluffing. We needed you to get Taehyung back."

"Still terrifying though. I thought I was a goner."

JB smiled in satisfaction.

"That's perfect. Exactly what we wanted."

"Excuse me?"

"We're vampires, we feed off of fear."

"Don't you feed off of blood?"

"You're missing the point. I just mean we feel amazing when someone is scared of us."

Fallyn gave him a look.

"I'm not scared if you anymore."

"That's because I haven't done anything to scare you just yet."

"Yeah, right. I know you're bluffing."

He cocked an eyebrow at her before replacing it with a cunning smirk.

"We'll see about that."

"You're going to scare me?"

"Yep."

Fallyn huffed.

"Fine, scare me now. I dare you."

"It's not a one day job. But I can start it now if tou wish."

"Bring it on."

"You'll regret this."

"Doubt it."

JB's smirk only intensified as he glanced at the horizon. He knew just how to get her.
