S1 E3: Confidence

At a wrestling match

"Why are we here?"

"We always go to Slater's matches," Zack said.

"Also Zack wants to see Slater's muscles."

"Shut up Austin!"

"It's starting."

"Who's he against anyway?"

"Some guy named Cole," Zack said.

They started the match and immediately Cole pinned Slater.

"The winner is Cole!"

"Oh my God," Jonah exclaimed.

"I know, Slater lost a match!"

"No, I got bonus points on the game I'm playing," Jonah said.

They glared at him.

"Bad time?"

*Plays theme song*

Zack and Jane went up to Slater at his locker.

"Hey Slater, you doing ok?"

"No, I've never lost a match before."

Cole walked up to them.

"Hey losers."

"Hey tall buff guy!"

"Jane, just be quiet honey."

"I'm Cole."

"We know," Zack said annoyed.

"Well, did you know that your coach decided to transfer me here to replace Slater?"

"What?!"

"Yep, so I'm guessing the great A.C Slater isn't that great."

He left smirking.

"Slater-."

He shook his head storming off.

"Do you think he'll be okay?"

"Yeah, he's A.C Slater, over the weekend, he'll get over it."

Two days later

Zack and Jane came into school laughing. They stopped when they saw the freshman miserable.

"Wow, I know it's Monday and all but you guys could look a little happy."

Austin and Jonah ran up to them.

"Why is everyone sad?"

"First of all, it's Monday."

"Second of all, that Cole guy and his crew is messing with everyone."

They heard screaming. They looked over and saw a nerd getting beaten up.

"We need Slater back," they said in unison.

"No we don't. I have a plan."

"Austin we can't murder anyone."

"I don't have a plan."

"I'll go find Slater!"

He ran off. A bully went up to them.

"Get. Away," Austin sneered.

He ran away.

In homeroom

Zack ran into homeroom. He stopped and went to the teacher.

"Mrs. Gray, some kids are beating up someone!"

"So," she said annoyed.

"Worth a shot."

He ran to Slater.

"Slater, you have to stop Cole. He's taking over the school. He's literally making Mondays worse!"

"I can't do anything about it Zack. You saw how quickly he pinned me, I can't beat him."

"Well that's not the Slater I know, the Slater I know, would stand up for people."

"Well that Slater was too weak."

"Slater, if you don't come back, then I'll never talk to you again."

He looked down.

"Fine, be a coward. I'll deal with this myself."

"What do you mean by that?"

Zack ignored him and left.

In the hallway

Jane ran up to Zack.

"Where's Slater?"

"He's not coming. I'm gonna stop him."

She started laughing. She stopped when she saw his face.

"You're being serious?"

"Yeah. Don't worry, I got this."

Zack went up to him.

"It was nice knowing ya."

Slater went up next to Jane.

"Slater stop him!"

"I can't."

"Zack's gonna die," Austin said.

"He's not gonna die."

"Yo dickhead!"

"He's dead."

Cole turned around and Zack backed up.

"What up with beating on the freshman?"

"Oh I'm sorry, is it the wrong thing," he asked sarcastically.

"No, fifteen years ago your Mom gave birth to the wrong thing."

"Ooo."

"You know it's a shame, you have such a cute face and now I have to rearrange it."

"Oh is that what happened to your face?"

"Ooo."

"You better watch your mouth."

"Well you definitely need to wash yours."

"OHH!"

"Shots fired!"

"You just got roasted three times!"

Cole gave them the death glare making them shut up. He glared at Zack.

"Slater, aren't you going to help him?"

"There's nothing I can do."

"Listen you little shit. You don't scare me alright, I scare you."

"Oh sorry I couldn't hear you over your own stupidity."

Cole clenched his fist.

"Cole let's just go."

"No way."

"Cole the principal is coming."

"I don't care."

Cole went to punch Zack but Slater stopped him.

"Leave."

"Make me."

Slater twisted his arm around and pushed him to the floor.

"Go! Get out of here."

He got up and ran away. Everyone cheered.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Why'd you save me?"

"Because, you're my friend."

"But I thought you were scared."

"Turns out the best Slater was the best Slater that was inside Slater the entire time."

Zack laughed.

"Also."

He punched Zack in the arm.

"That's for calling me a coward, preppy."

Zack laughed again.
