"Being 5'4 is so hard," Jane said.

"That's so true. I remember back in third grade when I couldn't reach anything," Austin said.

Max ran up to Jane who was drinking lemonade.

"Guess what! Ruby and I are back together!"

Jane spitted out her drink.

"Welp, time to go," Austin said leaving.

*Plays theme song*

"What?!"

"Yeah, we talked last night and we decided to get back together. Isn't that great?"

"Uh huh," Jane said through her teeth.

They hugged and Max ran off to tell someone else.

"You don't like her do you"?

Jane screeched and saw Amber.

"How do you do that"?

"Doesn't matter, I don't like her too".

"Why? You don't even like....wait....".

Jonah walked up to them.

"Hey guys".

"Hold on, she's connecting the dots. She's not getting it".

Jane made a shocked face.

"Now she's getting it".

"You like Max"?

"Yeah".

"Since when"?

"Since 9th grade second semester".

"Where was I"?

"Not here when this happened".

"I don't trust Ruby".

"I don't either".

"Aww, jealous girlfriends".

"Shut up Jonah", they said in unison.

"I'm just saying, if you guys wanna do a three-way relationship-".

"Go away"!

Jonah left smirking.

"So how are we going to destroy their relationship? Put bugs in Ruby's lunch, cut the brakes to Ruby's car, burn down her house"!

"I was thinking about just asking how Ruby feels about the relationship".

"Well that's no fun".

In Ruby's lunch

"Hey Ruby".

"What do you want"?

"Um, we were wondering about you and Max".

"It's none of your business".

"Listen-".

Ruby slammed her knife on the sharp edge.

"Can I say something"?

"Sure".

"Why do you care"?

"She's our friend".

"Wrong. She isn't anymore. If you two talk to her, then I'll make your lives miserable. Bye bye now".

Amber and Jane left rolling their eyes.

"Alright Amber, come up with a plan".

Amber was about to say something but Jane stopped her.

"That's legal".

"Fine"!

The Next Day

Amber and Jane watched Max and Ruby walk into school holding hands. Zack and Jack went up to them.

"Um, what are you guys doing", Jack asked.

"Don't ask that".

"Why"?

"Because then they'll tell us".

"Get out of here before you blow our cover".

They left confused. Max went to her locker.

"Okay it's go time".

They got out their water guns and ran towards them. Everything went in slow motion.

"Max"!

They stopped and sprayed them with water. Max ducked and the water hit Ruby instead. Everything went back in normal speed.

"You missed".

"Did we"?

Austin and Jonah sprayed her from behind. Max laughed.

"Alright, you guys got me".

"What"?

"Every Wednesday we do a water war in the hallway".

"Max, we're Sophomores we don't do water fights".

"War".

"Whatever. Text me"?

"You know I will".

They hugged.

"I feel like we're watching Titanic", Amber said.

Max left. Ruby glared at them and went the other way.

"Time for plan B".

At the Max

Jonah walked in dressed as Ruby.

"Hey Ruby", Max said sarcastically.

"What's up bitch", Jonah yelled knocking the drink out of her hand.

He sat across from her.

"Are you okay"?

"I'm fine. I just wanna talk about our relationship".

"Okay"?

"If we're-".

"What are you doing"?!

Ruby went up to them. Jonah gasped.

"An imposter. Well would you look at the time gotta go"!

He ran out. Max giggled. Ruby sat across from her.

"I'm getting tired of your friends".

"What are you trying to say"?

"Break up with them or with me".

"... I'm sorry Ruby, we can't be together".

"You're choosing your friends over me"?

"I'm choosing my family over you. If you cared about me, you wouldn't isolate me from my friends. We're done".

She marched out. Amber and Jane fist bumped.
