S5 E5: Exposed

Zack and Jack ran around the school tearing down the posters. They met up at the main hall.

"I think that's all of them."

"Wait, they hang up posters in the gym."

"Shit!"

They ran into the gym and saw a crowd around a poster.

"No," Zack choked out.

They ran up to the crowd and pushed through. They sighed in relief.

"Oh thank God. It's just a stupid poster about Romeo and Juliet."

They started heading towards the door when they saw another poster. They started running to it but a basketball player got to it before they did.

"Woah."

He looked at Zack and Jack.

"Please don't say anything."

"I won't."

"Thank you."

"YO GUYS CHECK IT OUT!"

"We told you not to say anything."

"Yeah, I didn't say anything. Oh you meant the poster not the word."

Zack was about to tackle him but Jack dragged him out.

On Monday

"At least Slater didn't go to practice."

"Yeah but the whole basketball team knows."

"Maybe they-. Hey Austin!"

"Hey fellow gays."

Zack hugged Austin and he hugged back. Jack joined in. They separated.

"How was juvie?"

"Boring. I'm ready to fight somebody."

They laughed and entered school. Everyone stared at them.

"Wow, did you guys miss me that much?"

Jack whispered what happened to Austin.

"Oh."

"I wanna go home."

"That'll only make it worse. Let's just go to our lockers and not draw attention to and you're gone."

At Slater's locker

Slater saw Zack at his locker.

"I'll just skip class."

"Slater wait."

He ran after him.

"Slater please stop!"

Slater sighed and stopped.

"Slater. I'm sorry."

"Why didn't you just tell me and why the hell are you an escort?!"

"It's complicated."

"Oh great, another secret."

"Slater, I had no choice."

Slater looked down.

"I just need some space."

"Slater-."

"Zack. I need space," Slater said looking up and the look on Zack's face broke his heart.

"Okay," Zack said tearing up.

He left. Slater punched the locker and went to class.
