Jane and Austin were walking to Earth Science when Jane stopped at a flyer.

"Austin look."

"Oh wow, a flyer," Austin said sarcastically.

"No, they're doing the Wizard Of Oz!"

"So?"

"So, this is my chance to make my mark."

"Your mark?"
"When people hit their senior year, they find ways to make sure they're remembered, so why not do it during freshman year."

"By being in a play?"

"That's all I got. I wanna look back and regret the things I DID do."

"Well I want nothing to do with it."

"So you think I should try out?"

"Yeah if it's something you wanna do."

"Yay!"

Jane walked into the auditorium.

"Is this seat taken," Jane asked.

"No Jane."

"Zack?"

He turned around and groaned.

"What are you doing here?"

"Selling lemonade, what does it look like I'm doing," Zack asked sarcastically.

"You're trying out?!"

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure I told you."

"When?"

"Yesterday. I've always wanted to be an actor."

"You never told me that."

"Literally yesterday."

"So, who are you auditioning for?"

"Lion."

"Because you're a coward when it comes to Slater."

He punched her in the arm. She rubbed her arm.

"Who are you auditioning for?"

"Dorothy obviously."

"Um, are you sure you don't wanna go for Glinda or the Wicked Witch?"

"No, Dorothy was brunette."

"No she wasn't."

"Yeah she was."

"In the movie she was, not in the book."

"Yeah but no one ever goes for the book."

Zack gave her a script and it said that they were going off the book.

"Oh. Well in the end it matters over who's better."

"Yeah, here's the thing. Maya's auditioning."

"What?"

"Yeah and she's been the main role in every play since elementary school."

"She can't be that good."

Maya got onstage.

"Do you suppose there is such a place, Toto? There must be. It's not a place you can get by a boat or a train. It's far, far away, behind the moon, beyond the rain."

"So she can act, they focus on singing."

"Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high," Maya sang beautifully.
