Zack burst through the roof doors. Sam turned around.

"Zack what are you doing here?"

"Saving you."

"Zack seriously, don't come near me, I will jump."

A crowd started to form from below.

"Okay, okay, I'm right here. Sam, please."

"Zack, I know you want to help me, I love that you shared something personal with me but it doesn't matter now. Nothing matters."

"You matter. And not just to me," Zack said stepping closer.

"I do want to believe that."

"Sam, your life is still yours. And we can get through this together. Let me help."

"I'm glad to hear you worry about me. That makes me feel better."

"Of course I worry. You're my friend, Sam," he said stepping closer.

"I did feel better talking to you. I always feel like you listen even though we literally just met 3 days ago."

"Sam, please trust me. Come stand by me, okay? I can help you now. I know I can. We'll find those assholes and make them pay."

"You sound so persuasive. If only..."

"I believe you. Will you believe me? Please, you don't have to do this."

"Zack, I'm in a nightmare and I can't wake up. Unless I put myself to sleep. I wish I could go back in time and erase everything. Nobody cares about me, nobody."

"We care about you. You can count on us. Even though we only met 3 days ago, we clearly love you without question."

"You guys do care. You guys are the only ones I know who believe in me."

Zack held out his hand. Sam hesitantly took it and they both fell to the ground hugging and crying.

"I'm sorry... sorry."

"What are you talking about? You saved me from going to class."

The next day at the hospital

Zack and Jack went into Sam's room with flowers.

"We got these for you. Well I thought of the flowers and Jack paid for them."

"Thanks, where's everyone else?"

"In the waiting room, apparently it's a "fire hazard" for too many people to be in a room."

"Because it is honey," Jack said.

Sam laughed softly.

"Do you need anything?"

"Yeah, who are the girls giggling in my closet."

"Jane."

"Max."

They came out with Jane laughing.

"We snuck in so we could visit but she wouldn't stop laughing."

"I thought of a joke in my head."

"Which is?"

"I never thought I would come out of the closet with you."

Max punched her arm.

"Ow!"

They laughed.
