The three of them had been hanging out every day ever since they reconciled. Hannah wasn't letting her sadness overcome her as much, Clay wasn't having any reasons to beat up anyone and Jessica didn't let her crush on Hannah ruin anything. She came out to Clay and told him about her feelings for Hannah, with her at her side. He was completely alright with it, as he knew it wasn't in Jessica to ruin their relationship, and it wasn't in Hannah to cheat on him.
On Saturday night, Hannah decided to throw a sleepover with the two of them, as her parents were out of town for a meeting. They agreed not to do gross girl things like do their nails and watch horrible romantic movies, but just listen to music, eat snacks, chat and just do whatever.
They met up on Saturday to go shopping for snacks and sodas. It was a Clay/Hannah tradition to get too many boxes of Mike&Ike's and Milk Duds, and they got cans of Sprite and Coca Cola, as well as Doritos and Sour Patch Kids.
They played music for a good part of the day. The sound was much better now that they had Jessica in the band. They just needed to find a bassist.
When the clock struck 8, they got the snacks out of the boot of Hannah's car and they poured them into bowls and brought everything up to Hannah's room. She put on her playlist and the night began.
That night, they chatted, laughed, ate too much junk food, danced and wrote down ideas for songs. Hannah and Clay discovered very quickly that they had made the right decision in adding Jess, as her lyrics were phenomenal. She went to dark places in her music, but she could also write humorous material.
After dancing madly to The Sound by The 1975, a song guaranteed to make you bop your head and dance like a maniac, they all flopped down onto the bed, giggling. Hannah was in the middle of them.
"Jeez, guys. This is one of the best nights of my life. Clay, you are a monster on the dance floor, and you're the best guitarist I've met, and I love you to bits. Jess, you can write the best songs I've ever seen in my life which means, as the front woman of Bakers and Helmets, I offer you the role of lead songwriter. As for myself, I have the two best friends a girl could ask for, and I just sounded like a real idiot there.", she said, smiling and holding the hands of her boyfriend and best friend.
"Nah, its cool, we love ya, Little Baker.", Clay said to her affectionately, making Hannah smile and Jessica nod in agreement. They began taking note of the song. Haunt // Bed.
I'm sorry that your dads dead
I hope you amend it
I think I've lost a lot of my friends
Through belief that I'm an instrument
Well, fuck me if you must then
Treat me like an old friend
I can't exist within my own head
So I insist on haunting your bed
If you could only hear what I said
You'd see
