A few hours later
Hannah had been driving for around 3 hours, and they had all been chatting and listening to music. They were listening to all The 1975's albums and EPs in order. Jessica was quite new to the band, but she found herself falling in love with them as she listened. They started off with the Facedown EP, then the Sex EP, onto the debut album, and they were now listening to the Music For Cars EP. Hannah's personal favourites out of the entire collection was the IV EP and the second album. Clay predicted that the next album would most likely come out the following year.
"Jesus, guys, I'm hungry. Can we pull over?", Jessica groaned, making the other two teenagers chuckle
"OK, I'm pulling over. I need gas anyway.", Hannah said in between chuckles.
She got out of the car to fill it up, and she went in to pay. While she was gone in, Clay started to talk to Jessica.
"So, how are you doing?", he asked.
"Good, you?", she replied.
"OK. I'm a bit worried about Hannah though. She's a very sensitive kid. Also, that Bryce Walker makes me wanna punch a hole in the wall. Its the fourth time he's given us bother."
"The bastard. I just hope he doesn't do anything worse than he already has to her. I wouldn't be able to bear it."
"Neither would I."
There was a pause, then Jessica spoke again.
"Clay? I have to tell you-", she began, before they heard the car door opening.
"Wassup, bandmates?", Hannah said as she handed them each a can of Coke and sandwiches.
"Nothing much, Baker. You're the best.", Jessica said as she took the drink and food and passed Clay's stuff to him.
"So, guys, were will we go?", Hannah asked chuckling, as she had no idea where they were going.
"Let's drive until we're in Ireland.", Clay said, causing the girls to chuckle.
After another hour of music, they passed a bar. Hannah stopped when she saw the poster on the window. Open Mic Night 6:30 - 11:45
She then checked the time on her phone. 2:45.
"Whatcha thinking, Baker?", Jessica asked.
Hannah pointed to the poster on the window. Jessica and Clay smiled at her.
"Lady and gent, I think we have our first performance as the Unlikely Trio.", Hannah said with a smirk.
She parked the car and the three of them headed inside, hours early but wanted to discuss what they'd be doing.
Hannah pulled out her phone with her playlist on it, and she spent an hour writing it out while they drank glass bottles of Coke and ate bags of crisps. They were loving being out of town, despite having no idea where they were.
After the list had been written up, and after several arguments, they all eventually agreed on Us Against The World by Coldplay, as they felt it symbolized them at that time in a way.
When it was 4 o clock, they decided to go over to the B&B nearby and book a room. It was cheap enough so they had enough. They were using the spare cash from the counselling fund, after Clay had reluctantly given Hannah consent to.
