Chapter 50~Realize & Real Eyes

Daren's POV

"Bro dito na ako matutulog ah? Iinom ako. Tinatamad ako umuwi sa condo." sabi niya sabay bukas ng beer. 

Shit. It's still bugging me.

I admit I was harsh to her. But fuck I couldn't help it. 

It made me mad. 

Tumawa siya, "Bro. What really happened?" he asked while smiling as if he's enjoing this.

"Why don't you ask her?" 

"Ang init ng ulo relax ka lang. Ikaw kasi. You should've kept your mouth shut- maka react parang boyfriend"

Napatayo ako. 

"I'm trying to clear her name in school and yet she's acting as if the rumour is true! She needs to stop acting like a child!" 

Fuck this I want to punch someone.

Fuck she makes me so angry!

"Teka lang. You want to clear her name? Bakit kanina ba may mga taga school niyo dun? And how was she acting like a child?" I looked at him sharply

"You don't know the things going on in my territory. You don't know how word gets spread in the campus- it's like a virus that spreads faster than you can count to 5." kumuha ako ng beer sa ref.

"Kung wala naman pala may kilala sa kanya dun sa mall edi let her be! Tsaka isa pa, wala siyang pakialam sa mga usapan tungkol sa kanya. She'll act however she wants to because she has the right." 

"That's not the point! She needs to be careful of-"

"-You're jealous and you refuse to admit it." 

I took a long sip of the beer. 

Jealous 

Me?

Why would I be?

I've got too many things in my hand and being in a relationship is definitely not in my To-Do list.

"Hindi ako nagseselos. Wala akong rason para magselos kaya itigil mo na ang mga iniisip mo." Natawa siya.

"Oh shit ang daming tagalog words! Improving little bro! Siya ba ang inspirasyon mo?" sabay tawa

Nagpunas punas pa siya ng mata niya

"You still haven't told me what she is to you. Why you told me to keep an eye on her"

His expression changed into a serious one

"I already told you. She's special to me and I want to make sure she's safe-"

"-Why can't you watch her instead of asking me to do it?"

"Oh I am watching her. From afar that is. Pero ikaw ang mas malapit sa kanya."

"Why does she call you Jake ?" This is the right time to interrogate him.

He smirked, "She wants to call me by that name. Mas bagay daw sa'kin kasi sexy-"  

"-I'm serious Angelo! What's your story with her? Is she your ex--- wait. She can't be. Because if she was, she wouldn't act like she doesn't know you. Don't tell me she's the girl you were inlove with...? Ha like what? She suddenly lost her memory and forgot all about you? Come on things like that still exist?
