2 - Goodbye, Vee

Veera's POV

This is the day! Our graduation ceremony will start at 4 pm pero after our breakfast, we'll be heading to the salon na.

"Congrats, twinnie!" I congratulated Veronica when I saw her preparing orur breakfast sa kitchen.

Sabay kaming ga-graduate ngayon and you know what? She's graduating as a Summa Cum Laude. I'm so proud!

"Thank you, Vee. Congrats din." Sagot niya naman sabay yakap sa akin. "Kumain ka na do'n pababa na sila Nanay tsaka ang kambal. Mauunahan ka na naman sa waffle mo."

Pumunta agad ako sa table just like what she said. Mahirap nang maunahan pa ako ni Vane at Verne sa waffles na ginagawa ni Veronica.

"Good morning, 'ta Vee." Vrent greeted me. Ang cute talaga ng pamangkin ko. Buti na lang napa-taba 'to ni Veronica. Sana wag muna siyang pumayat.

Niyakap ko siya and kissed his chubby cheeks. "Good morning, baby." Ang tamis ng pisngi niya. May maple syrup.

"Good morning, Vee. Kain na." Sabi naman ni Kuya Brian.

"Good morning, Kuya."

Nakakatuwa talaga ang family nila ni Veronica. Kahit kasi may sariling bahay na sila, minsan dito pa rin sila nag-i-stay. Kahit na medyo malayo ang bahay nila dito.

My phone vibrated so I checked it. I saw a message from Liam.

From: Liam ko 💞

Congrats, Vee. I'll be there later. I love you. ❤

Napangiti ako upon reading his message. I'm so excited because at the end of this day, I'll officially be a working girl already.

"Ano ba 'yan ang init naman! Basang-basa na 'yung kili-kili ko!" Natawa kaming lahat nang mag-reklamo si Moira. We couldn't agree more, though. Ang kapal kaya ng toga. Gosh!

Andito pa kasi kami sa labas ng venue at nakapila. Nagsimula naman na ang ceremony pero malayo pa kami sa entrance. Nauna kasing pinapapasok 'yung mga courses from business department at nasa huli naman ng pila ang college of arts and sciences which is us.

"Girls, you know what, mami-miss ko talaga kayo." Biglang sabi ni Tasya kaya napatingin kami sa kanya.

"Yes me, too." Moira added. "I'm sure I can't find people like you when we're working na."

"Then don't find new ones. Let's stay friends forever, bitches!" I said cheerfully bago kami nag-group hug.

"Love you, bitches!" Joycie said while we're hugging. Mukha na nga siyang naiiyak kaya parang nahahawa tuloy ako.

"Huy! 'Wag muna kayong umiyak! Masisira make up niyo, mga loka-loka!" Saway naman sa amin ni Gretchen. "Mamaya na kayo umiyak after graduation."

And with that, we instantly laughed again.

At 7 pm ay natapos din ang graduation ceremony we were all smiles while the photographer took photos of our block.

After that naman, I took pictures with the girls. Mami-miss ko 'tong mga loka-lokang 'to. We've been together for four years kaya it's so hard to think that after this, baka bihira na lang kaming magkakasama.

"Uy, girls ah. 'Yung usapan natin." Moira reminded us again. "Tonight is for our families then tomorrow, totoma tayo!"

We all cheered when she said that. Napag-usapan na kasi namin that after graduation, we'll celebrate with our families then the day after that, we'll celebrate together naman.
