28 - Sick

Veera's POV

10 am ang simula ng book signing pero 7 am pa lang yata nakapila na kami ni KD sa labas ng convention center. Hindi na rin kami nakapag-almusal sa hotel, bumili na lang ng breakfast si KD para sa amin then sa line na kami kumain.

Nahihiya na talaga ako kay KD. Siya na nga kasi ang bumili ng food namin. Ang layo kaya ng food stalls dito tapos halos tumakbo pa siya papunta at pabalik kanina because he heard my stomach grumbled.

And because of all of these, I felt my heart skipped a beat again. Nalilito ako. I know that I already feel something for this guy. I just don't want to acknowledge it yet. Because I'm not even sure about it.

"Omg, KD, look. Clark gave these to me." Pinakita ko sa kanya ang signed book mark tsaka button pins na may design na chibi characters from Clark's latest books.

"Whoa. You're so lucky. Buti nabigyan ka niya." He said and acted like he's hurt. "Bakit sa akin book marks lang?"

"Kinwento ko kasi sa kanya that I've been a big fan of him since his debut novel." Kwento ko kay KD. "Then nakwento ko rin sa kanya yung similarities namin ni Eleonore."

Eleonore's the female lead from his debut novel and just like her, I love frosted corn flakes, too and I also enjoy rainy days.

KD smile. "Kaya naman pala. Binola mo pala siya."

"I didn't! Totoo kaya 'yun." I said at inirapan siya jokingly.

Palabas na kami ng convention center ngayon. Tapos na kaming magpa-sign kay Clark Maxwell. Ang dami ngang tao but we're lucky kasi medyo nauna kami sa pila.

"So where are we going next?" Tanong sa akin ni KD. I shrugged so he suggested, "Want to eat first bago tayo bumalik sa hotel?"

I agreed. Medyo maraming tao pa rin sa convention center kaya nahihirapan kami ni KD lumabas.

"Ang daming tao. Stay near me, okay? 'Wag kang lalayo." KD said.

I nodded. "I won't."

Siksikan ang mga tao kaya naman I'm trying my best na 'wag mawala si KD sa paningin ko. He keeps on looking back din naman.

"KD, I'm fine. Nakasunod lang ako sa'yo. Don't worry." Sabi ko sa kanya. Nahihirapan kasi siya pag lingon siya nang lingon.

He sighed. "Halika, Vee." He said kaya lumapit pa ako ng konti.

Then he held my hand.

Not just held it.

He intertwined his fingers with mine.

My heart started to race again. Ano ba 'tong nararamdaman ko? I think I know the answer but I just can't admit it yet.

He smiled. "There. Better. Now I don't have to worry about losing you."

He didn't let go of my hand kahit na nakalabas na kami sa convention center. The warmth of it made the beating of my heart even faster.

And I like this feeling. It's been a long time since the last time I felt this.

After having our lunch, namasyal muna kami sa mall malapit sa convention center. At nung hapon na, we decided to go back to the hotel para mag-check out.

"KD, thank you. I really enjoyed the weekend with you."

"Thank you din, Vee. I thought I was going alone. Buti na lang you're there." He said with a smile.

Ihahatid na ako ni KD sa bahay namin ngayon. I sighed. Mag-isa na naman tuloy ako.

"So pauwi ka na nyan?" I asked.
