Vince's POV
Sunday. It's been two days since Liam went to the hotel para sunduin si Veera. Sakto namang day-off ni Veera every weekends kaya hindi pa kami nakakapag-usap. Busy kasi ako sa resto these past few days. I call her from time to time pero hindi rin kami masyadong nakakapag-usap.
So after my shift, I decided na pumunta na lang sa bahay nila. But before going straight there, I bought something for here.
Naabutan ko naman si Vee sa living room. Her eyes widened nang makita niya ako. She ran towards me and gave me a warm embrace.
"Omg, Kuya! I missed you!" She said in my chest.
"Miss agad? Magkasama lang tayo nung Friday ah. Clingy much, Vee?" I teased.
"Exactly! Nung Friday pa, that was like two days ago. Bawal ba kitang ma-miss?" She said and rolled her eyes. Nagpapa-lambing.
I pulled her into a hug. "Kidding. Of course, I missed you too. Walang nang-i-istorbo sa akin sa kitchen eh."
"I knew it. Tatanggi ka pa eh." She said smugly, knowing that she's right. "Wait, what's this?"
Napatingin siya sa hawak ko.
"Tingnan mo." I gave the bag to her and let her open it.
"Omg, froyo!" Parang magiging heart pa yung mata niya when she saw kung anong dinala ko for her.
"Yup. And it's Red Velvet. You're favorite." I said kaya mas lalong lumaki ang ngiti niya.
"Thank you, Kuya." She said and gave me a peck on my cheek. "Come on, ubusin na natin 'to."
Pinaupo niya ako sa couch while she went to the kitchen to get a spoon. We watched a movie while we ate her froyo. Sinusubuan niya ako.
"Vee. . ."
"What?"
I looked intently at her, trying to see kung okay lang bang pag-usapan namin si Liam. But based on her smiles and mood, mukhang okay naman.
"Vee. . . Ah, about what happened last Friday. . ." I started. "Ah, si Liam, where did he brought you? Pinaiyak ka na naman ba?"
Her smile faded a little. Shit. Parang hindi pa okay.
"No, hindi naman, Kuya." She answered, her expression is neutral pero parang hindi naman sumama ang mood niya. "Actually, nag-usap lang naman kami. Sa airport."
My forehead creased at that. "Airport? Bakit kailangang sa airport pa?" I asked. She just looked at me.
And that's when I realized something.
"Wait. . . Don't tell me. . . He already left?"
She sighed. "Yes. Ang galing 'di ba? Pinaghatid lang ako." Natatawang sabi niya pa. "That guy, he always finds a way to surprise me."
Hindi ako makapagsalita. I don't know what to say. So I did the first thing that came into my mind. I held her shoulders and pulled her into an embrace.
"Sorry, Vee. I'm really sorry." I whispered in her ear.
She hugged me back as she asked, "Sorry for what?"
"I should've been here. Para samahan ka while you're dealing with this." Sabi ko sa kanya. "You should've told me what happened para pinuntahan agad kita dito."
"I know that you'll do that kaya nga hindi ko sinabi." She told me. "I know that you're busy these past few days. Ayoko namang dumagdag pa sa aabalahin mo."
I let go of her so that I'll be able to face her.
"And I thought you already know that you will never be an 'abala' to me, Vee." Sabi ko sa kanya. "I already told you that you are more important than anything and anyone else, right?"
